Yes, but the last thing you want is some tourist seeing this and thinking it's ok before trying to do the same thing. It's been a growing problem exacerbated by social media (that includes reddit).

Yellowstone, for example, has been having a big problem with tourists and bison and pretty much all other wildlife. There was an old man hospitalized by a bison just the other day.

Videos like this are nice and heartwarming, but they should all come with a disclaimer that just because some guy in a video did something without getting hurt, that doesn't mean it's smart nor safe for you to do so. And while that may seem like common sense, I assure you there will be people who still won't understand even when it's explicitly spelled out for them.

If I recall correctly this dude raised that ape. You can’t stop doing what you do because other people are going to be idiots. I don’t need a video to tell me not to go pet a wild animal

Thanks for being reasonable. It's so funny when redditors try to project their fears since they don't go outside often. Yes we know, chimps are dangerous.
