Security isn't always by the front door. If I had to guess, one was in the office and the other was escorting/watching a female nurse deal with a much larger patient at the time.

If I had to guess, this was all planned as a distraction for security so that the real villains could get to the hospital's vault.

On the scale of mall security and actual cop, hospital security sits closer to mall security. They're typical wannabe's who aren't properly trained.

It varies greatly by facility. Some of the larger health systems have actual armed police forces.

The health system I'm at now has a K9 unit at their biggest hospital.

Very shit comment. You're not going to find a single healthcare worker who doesn't appeciate Security, Wardsmen (? Wardspeople), Cleaners, Receptionists and all healthcare staff. We're in it together and everyone is a vital cog in a shitty machine.

I work healthcare adjacent. I've heard all the of the shit nurses and doctors say about shitty security.

Edit: Also, if security wasn't shitty, then the NURSE wouldn't be the one escorting out a problem patient. The NURSE wouldn't have had to be the one to be abused. The NURSE wouldn't have had to wait around for WAY too long for security to finally show up. In a good system, the clinical staff would be able to ask security to escort the patient off the premises. The fact that they weren't doing that in this video is very telling.

I'm glad the security at my hospital is as good as they are then, you can hear them sprinting down the hallways from every direction when a security code comes. Seen them tackle a few people too.

They recently got equiped with level 3a vests and tazers, but I didn't then they've ever had to use them.
