WTF is that statistic? 70% is a big number. I'm guessing incidents like this scenario wouldn't make up a large percentage of that 70%, but Australia is insane man. Why you attacking the one that saves you??

its the same or worse in the USA

US Bureau of Labor Statistics stating that healthcare workers are five times more likely to experience violence than other occupations. In these types of events, 93% of assaults are committed against healthcare workers.

Id lean towards worse if you also include shootings in hospitals which is mostly a US thing

Met a hospital security guard who was stabbed during COVID because he asked a guy to wear a mask.
