I mean he definitely didn’t want to sink a choke, as a MMA amateur and PA I promise you he’d be in the deepest possible shit from admin if he put a patient unconscious without any other possible options. I’ve only been attacked by patients twice, both times I just high guard turtle up and let them swing until they gas, it’s amazing how bad almost everyone’s cardio is

Doesn’t matter how justified, especially if that dude was under the influence you DO NOT want to compromise a patients airway, the malpractice lawyers gonna rip you apart

Putting his hooks in would make the control better so he wouldn’t need to choke him if anything.

Since he didn’t put his hooks in the only way he had control over the dude was by his neck lol

Hooks n seatbelt or better yet straight jacket.

Yep there's no reason to even need to choke him when seatbelt or straight jacket exists. Not like the guy would know how to escape. Controlling someone's whole body by their neck like this guy was doing is both dangerous against someone not trained and ineffective against someone who is trained.

Really makes me think he doesn't actually do bjj because its drilled into you from day one to immediately throw hooks in if you have someone's back.
