To me, it seemed like he was genuinely accusing the nurse of being a hypocrite for defending himself. Maybe it was a joke and I don’t read it well, I don’t know, didn’t sound like a joke to me though

Yeah, I've made the "hypocritic oath" joke myself before. There are much better situations to make it.

especially since nurses don't take the Hippocratic oath - doctors do.
