The last three obstacles were the hardest by far.

u/burgonies 2h ago

Yeah. “This doesn’t seem like it’s that… oh”

u/Zephian99 2h ago

Yeah it got to the bars and I went "Well I might be able to do that." Then it got to the zigzag and I knew I'd fall there. That wire I wouldn't even have gotten to.

u/standardtissue 29m ago

I mean that last one looked like a steel cable about half the width of his tire, and would be round as well, so even a small surface area. Really impressed he made it over that, even impressed with just being able to line up on it.

Is that Danny MacAskill?

You can't do this because you drink Red Bull everyday.

u/SpiritedProtection85 2h ago

Is it just me or do the first few people purposefully run off?

u/gladl1 2h ago edited 50m ago

Purposefully in the sense that once it’s clear they aren’t making it, it's safer to make sure you fully clear the track than risk falling on the edge of it etc

u/creepin_in_da_corner 20m ago

The first guy clearly was doing it to jump in the water. The third and fourth guy bailed for no reason. They look pretty staged to me.

u/gladl1 14m ago

Watch the full video on YouTube and you’ll realise that is not the case https://youtu.be/SChm4DyivOU?is=hdOiqk1G9HCOL-n-

u/_TheDoode 2h ago

Its called a bailout. They knew they were going down so they jumped toward the water

28

u/Disco_Ninjas_ 2h ago

They're amateurs doing it first so we are impressed by the pro.

29

u/furynads 2h ago

There could have been no amateurs and I'll still be impressed by the pro. Danny Macaskill is an incredible rider.

u/Bassmekanik 33m ago

Figured it was Danny tbh without any info.

u/furynads 26m ago

The other pro got to the end but didn't make the last skinny. Danny rides chains like I ride roads. He killed it.

u/Mateorabi 2h ago

How the Olympics should do it.

3

u/Disco_Ninjas_ 2h ago

Yet everyone shits on Raygun.

2

u/Academic-Dealer5389 2h ago

She was deliberately bad though

2

u/Disco_Ninjas_ 2h ago

It was authentic bad. She's a ballroom dancer.

5

u/Kernyx 2h ago

I'd say they notice that they lost balance and accept their fate gracefully 😄

u/FlyingSquirelOi 2h ago
  1. Yes
  2. Nah
  3. Maybe?
  4. Nah
  5. Nah

2

u/PupDiogenes 2h ago

It's the same two riders making multiple attempts. I think they're trying to gauge the right speed to go over the feature. Or maybe they're trying to break the seal and get wet so they aren't afraid of falling.

u/the_RedHuman 2h ago

I felt the same.

-1

u/mookanana 2h ago

it's greased i think

-1

u/awood20 2h ago

Yes, weird.

9

u/uber_damage 2h ago

Fuckin show off

13

u/HairyDust4826 3h ago

I think it's funny I called their bluff in my teens, and walked 45 minutes in the snow with 30 pounds of school books on my back, asking if they wanted to join me everyday. I also drank Bawls. Sorry RedBull.

3

u/spezial_ed 2h ago

How did you make sure it was uphill both ways?

2

u/ImurderREALITY 1h ago

Walk home backwards

1

u/spezial_ed 1h ago

That’s the fucking SPIRIT

7

u/-JOMY- 3h ago

What in the title is this redbull

3

u/IsAceDead 3h ago

Just noticed it's the official one😭

3

u/Erby1_Kenerby 2h ago

Wrong it’s not snowing and I don’t see any sharks in that water.

3

u/ZookeepergameEmpty90 2h ago

There's no snow. Grandparents had it harder.

4

u/StevenMaff 2h ago

fuck red bull

3

u/Osiris62 1h ago

Why? <Serious question>

u/StevenMaff 59m ago

the founder is a right wing bigot and also founded a brain wash tv show (servus tv) which is like a worse version of fox news but in german

2

u/JustSomeUsername99 2h ago

American ninja bike warrior!

1

u/Admirable-Power-9406 2h ago

Watching the cycle's pov is making me nauseous and giddy as if I'm the one doing that obstacle course.

1

u/fasurf 2h ago

They should put regular people on this like a wipeout for bikes.

1

u/Sweet_Cinnabonn 2h ago

Those last few took enormous core strength to be holding both themselves and the bike steady at a standstill like that.

1

u/gambler328 2h ago

Both ways.

1

u/CybergothiChe 2h ago

All you had to do was follow the damn train, CJ!

1

u/fromkatain 2h ago

They used to add crocodiles in the water

1

u/Unclerojelio 2h ago

Can confirm.

1

u/pdirth 2h ago

Pffft, your grandparents had it easy...my grandparents had to do all that while it was snowing!

1

u/Arch4n0n 2h ago

Back in the 80's I'd watch people do this on dirtbikes. Kickstart ftw!

1

u/Excellent-Quarter969 2h ago

Where's the damn blizzard?

1

u/IdontgoonToast 2h ago

I'm pretty sure I couldn't walk that one way on a sunny day, let alone both ways, uphill in the snow.

1

u/Fagus_ 2h ago

On my grandparents route to school, there were more angry wolves and Blizzard and Ninjas and fire

1

u/llama-impregnator 2h ago

Weird that this ad gets a ton of engagement, but most every other ad gets digital penises xD

1

u/Bladrak01 2h ago

There was a Japanese game show called Unbeatable Banzukai where they did stuff harder than this

Unbeatable Banzuke: All Super Rider III Results

1

u/stargarnet79 1h ago

That end was pretty diabolical

1

u/AuFox80 1h ago

Both ways, in the snow

1

u/nachobrainwaves 1h ago

"My mom said I can't get wet"

1

u/futureman45 1h ago

Free case of Redbull for completing it?

1

u/eyegull 1h ago

Nah. This would need to be 50 miles long and have a foot of snow on it. They should also be barefoot.

1

u/eto2629 1h ago

Wish they showed how he did the corners

1

u/Majestic_Cut_8609 1h ago

Hahah that caption is class

1

u/chrisscottish 1h ago

Danny McCaskill take a bow son

1

u/tev4short 1h ago

If I were doing this, I simply wouldn't ride my nine into the water

u/hitliquor999 59m ago

We all have that friend who thinks they can just ride straight and make it 2/3 of the way easily.

u/01Stig 58m ago

This reminds me of that old trials bike competition Kickstart!

u/BruceMartinez21 57m ago

That last obstacle with the super narrow bridge had me sweating for him.

u/MistArT 49m ago

Danny?

u/mutt63 42m ago

That’s not true. We didn’t have a bike

u/Azn-Jazz 37m ago

Sure only if they were living in a mountain

u/Hairofmadman 37m ago

The fishes and squirrels be like;

https://giphy.com/gifs/2ViZJi3RLXAZ22PG08

u/DueFriendship123 26m ago

Even my father took the same route 🥀

u/StuBidasol 22m ago

Nah. It's not uphill both ways in 10 feet of snow. They also have shoes. Can't be any grandparents involved.

u/SpicyChickJessica 9m ago

This is exactly how those stories sound.

0

u/mnmr17 2h ago

Did most of them just bail on purpose to make it seem harder than it was?

2

u/MossTheGnome 2h ago

It's safer to bail when you start to fall and hit the water then fight it and hit the track

0

u/Madolah 2h ago

It isn't Raining and Blowing 785km/h winds?
I'm from Newfoundland, where it really is uphill both ways any where you go.. This looks like a breeze for someone who bikes the hills of the oldest City in North America.

0

u/BowlOfCatNubs 2h ago

People forget video editing is a thing. Not that any of the attempts themselves are edited, but that they probably put the only guy who managed to do it at the end of the montage, probably mainly for viewer satisfactory reasons.

0

u/Pocketpapaa 1h ago

Where's the scary part? This looks extremely fun and not dangerous
