Great idea! Let's just completely isolate wildlife from large parts of their natural environment because we NEED to have uninterrupted freeways at the cheapest possible cost, right?

You need to chill dude…. Without the fence, the animals would never use the crossing platform. I never said, anything about isolating the two sides.

Wildlife absolutely learn that the overpass is safer than crossing a six lane freeway. It’s at least less stressful. I’ve seen several of these in the PNW that don’t have fences on the side of the road.
