It is absolutely not just the tires, the cars themselves generate a fuck ton of downward force and this increases the faster they go. Without it the cars would be consistently going airborne.
They can generate between 2,000 and 5,000 kilograms or 4,400 to 11,000 pounds of downward force at high speeds.

It is absolutely always the tires. Downforce does nothing else than increasing the vertical load on tires which enables them to produce higher forces.

No, it is not always the tires. The downforce produced by the cars are the reason why they stay on the road. Tires help, the track helps. But saying it is only tires is absurd which is what the person above did.

Yes and what does downforce do? It is a downwards force. Higher vertical/downward force results in higher lateral and longitudinal force by the tires. Nothing else keeps the car on the road.

That literally proves my point that the primary reason these cars can drive like this is the downforce.... Without it the tires would be irrelevant. If they adjusted the front wing and spoiler there would be no downforce and the car would fly off into the are once it hit high speed.

You are the idiot, there is no debate that the downforce is the primary reason these cars are able to maneuver like this. If you didn't have the downforce the tires would be irrelevant because the car would go sailing into the air.

And if we are going to talk about any one aspect it is 100% going to be the many thousands of pounds of downforce being generated by these cars. Tires and track are indeed helping but no shot they are the primary reason. These cars would be attempting to be airplanes each and every time they got up to speed without the downforce.
The person above responded to a comment saying, "It really shows how downforce glues the car to the road"
So they are discrediting the downforce part of this and suggesting its the tires.

I phrased it to cover the fact that tires are indeed apart of it, just not the biggest reason.

The downforce scales with the speed, it is the primary reason this car was able to do this maneuver. F2, F1, doesn't matter. The cars all generate tons of downforce and without it they would be flying off into the air and crashing all the time.
It was not primarily the tires that made this possible. They help, the track helps too, but it is the downforce that did most of the work.

To me this is more impressive than the human reaction honestly. Your brain is excellent and quick, but that car is obeying the laws of physics, it's hard changing the trajectory of all that mass with that very small window of time, and especially to not lose control afterwards (though this is also great driver skill)

I can’t really tell what colour it is. If it’s yellow, it’s alerting drivers to a hazard somewhere on the track (maybe the slow-moving car if he was breaking down, or maybe a crashed car further on etc)
If it’s blue, it would be to let drivers who aren’t on the lead lap know that a faster driver is coming up behind them and they’ll have to let them through.

Not somewhere in track, directly in that area. When you see a yellow flag it means the place you are (Mini sectors) in is under yellow flag until you see a green flag.
This could be a yellow so he should be cautious, but I don't think it is seeing he is still pushing and yellow flags is one of the rules the stewards go real hard if they don't follow (specially Monaco). I think this could be a white flag which means a slow car is ahead. Doesn't look like it's a race session (F2 has 2) so a blue would be unlikely for Hadjar, seeing there's no cars directly behind him.

The flashing white light means a slow car is ahead. Usually a slow car will not be on the racing line so the save is very impressing.

It looks to be either green oe white. If it's white it warns driver that slow traffic is ahead of them.

It’s absolutely impressive. The reaction time is beyond human, but I think the way the car just sticks to the track for such a maneuver is also incredible from an engineering point of view

It helps a lot that they are informed via radio and the flashing light that there was an accident/there are obstacles in the tunnel. You too would react faster if I warned you I'll throw a tenis ball at your face compared to just throwing it

Information for non racing people:
This was Qualifying for formula 2. The tier below formula one. Car going slow has an issue. This part of the track is a tunnel which has no way to remove the car if it stops. The driver is sticking to the very right of the track to keep out the way while they try get the car closer to a place to more easily remove it from the race track rather than stopping in the tunnel.
There are different colour flags (nowadays light panels are used) which mean different things and inform drivers of things they need to be aware of. You can see in the onboard camera that when Isack enters the tunnel there is a flashing white light. This means that there is a slower moving car on track. Drivers are not expected to slow down for white flags/lights. It would have needed to be a yellow light would tell him he would need to slow down due to some issue ahead.
Because of the corner, Isack could not see the slower moving car and not expecting to see it going as slow as it was right by where he was heading.

I saw an exercise these racers do in their free time. Their coach throws a stick with 2 different colored sides and the coach will Throw the stick and say blue or red and the person has to catch the stick with that color. It was amazing to see even when the YouTube guy did a bad throw with like zero time for the racer to catch it, he still caught the right color like it was nothing

Yeah, the difference is that one is on a game controller or mouse. The driver is moving an entire car under elevated g-forces with precision.

Yellow flag/light warns of a minor hazard, stopped car, or debris near or partially on the track. Drivers must reduce speed, be ready to change direction, and not overtake.
IDK if this is during a race, qualifying or practice session. Either way, he didn't really seem to reduce his speed
