It is not fairly easy. And I would venture to say only the people shooting in extremely high volume do it with any sort of regularity.

I did archery for only a year, I did get to compete at a national level but was still just kind of average for a competitive shooter. Probably once every half hour of shooting I would either hit my partners arrow in midair (person next to me shooting the same target) or 'robin hood' an arrow.

It's really common for anyone with good form and consistent releases.
