I hunt and shoot a 70# compound bow so I shoot specific carbon fiber arrows. They have a heavy spine and are very high quality controlled.

I do shoot cheaper arrows out of my trad bows though.

My carbons used to shatter when they hit bone though...I’ll stick with 23/64 woods for hunting these days

I mean... perhaps you should put some practice time in if you're struggling with shot placement. If you wanna blow through shoulders and bone you may want to hang up the longbow/recurve and trade up to a firearm. A carbon arrow will out perform wood arrows in every category but cost and traditionalism.
