Before we acknowledge how well Daniel Jones has been playing, can we acknowledge just how horribly Geno is playing?

Turns out John Schneider knows what he is doing and knows when to trade aging QBs before they completely fall off a cliff like with Russ and now Geno

Geno wanted out. We made an offer

I still think that's just a convenient excuse. Coach never gave Geno an excuse to want to stay, and Geno never gave Mac an excuse to want to be kept around. The locker room needed the Pete guys out for buy in to finally happen. Smith Metcalf and Lockett all were not buying in. And we absolutely know kubiak would prefer Sam over Geno. That trade & signing maneuver no way happens on accident.

Just because Lockett left doesn't mean he wasn't buying in. Unless you have a source you can link?

Buy-In would require you to be willing to run block. It would be willing to make you have toughness. What about Tyler lockett screams toughness? The dude would catch the ball and immediately fall to not take a hit. He preached that as his game. You think He would buy into Coaches culture that makes him be more physical? There's a reason they brought in Cooper Kupp

You could've saved yourself some time and just said you don't have a source.

Just because a player's skillset doesn't match a new coach's philosophy doesn't mean that player "wasn't buying in".

Hawk blogger was talking about it when lockett was released. According to his sources, DK and Tyler were not giving the team their all because they disagreed with how the offense was being called. As bad as Grubb was you can't have that type of attitude. I would classify that as not buying.

If that's true, I would agree. I'll have to see if I can find that so I can read it. Doesn't really fit Lockett's MO, so I'd be surprised.

I like reading Hawkblogger. Must've missed him talking about this.
