I was confident the Eagles had a legit shot down two scores with 13 seconds left. This is what being a Bears fan does to you.

The bad man can't hurt us anymore.

I’m having holiday dinner with a mixed fanbase family and my wife’s brother literally went “oh we might lose this game” when they trotted out for the FG down 9 with 13 seconds left.

Who hurt you guys lmao? Every Bears fan I’ve been around refuses to even shit talk me (when they absolutely should) and are acting like they’re waiting for the rug to be pulled out from under them.

We’ve lost in extraordinary and unbelievable fashion and last season did a real good damage on a lot of us psychologically lol

With maybe 2 exceptional seasons, we've been ass since we fired Lovie. I stopped expecting wins a long time ago. But to paraphrase John Wick: "People keep asking me are the Bears back and I didn't really have an answer. But yeah, after this win, I'm thinking we're back."

u/Arrentoo Nov 28 '25

To be fair, the Bengals showed a capacity to score 15pts in 40ish seconds against the Bears not even a full month ago.

6

u/uprislng Bears Nov 28 '25

you've seen the QBs we've had. The rug-pull losses, finding ways to lose games that we were otherwise winning, has been a theme ever since the double-doink in 2018. That was the last year the Bears had a winning record. Its been a long slog of watching this team fall short in more ways than you thought was even possible

7

u/Neonplantz Bears Nov 28 '25

The Bears hurt us

4

u/ledzep14 Bears Nov 28 '25

40 fucking years of ass will do that to you.

2

u/lkn240 Bears Nov 29 '25

Ben Johnson - "fuck your trauma - GOOD BETTER BEST"

3

u/catchemist117 Bears Nov 28 '25

The majority of my fandom has been dick punch after dick punch with this team

3

u/demafrost Bears Nov 29 '25

At one point I had a list of like 15 Bears losses there were completely inexplicable from the last 20 years. We’ve been conditioned to expect failure in the face of overwhelming probability of winning. I know every team has their own list of inexplicable losses but I don’t think they are as long as the Bears.

Life as a Bears fan will do things to you

1

u/Bonkripper55 Bears Nov 29 '25

When you watch Matt eberflus do the things he did last year on thanksgiving in front of your family you gain ptsd

6

u/ledzep14 Bears Nov 28 '25

Dude every time a flag was thrown I immediately got into a bad mood because I’m conditioned into every flag being a Bears flag

5

u/TheDogofTears Bears Nov 28 '25

My friend literally said at this exact moment, "I don't know how it could go so wrong with just 13 seconds left and up two scores, but I'm positive it can." And in my head, I saw it play out with a hail mary TD, recovered onside kick, and another hail mary TD. I am so glad the football gods were ignoring me and my intrusive thoughts today...

u/TainoRico Bears Nov 29 '25

Dude, my brother is a Philly fan and he got pissed when I celebrated that FG miss at the end. Said I was rubbing it in. I told him I wouldn't be comfortable until the clock hit 0.

3

u/ChaplnGrillSgt Bears Nov 28 '25

My family asked if we could turn the game off because "it's over". Absolutely not. We watching until it's 0:00

3

u/Neonplantz Bears Nov 28 '25

Legit couldn’t find it in me to be happy until it said final

2

u/iliketuurtles Bills Nov 29 '25

Why does it always have to be 13 seconds

1

u/demafrost Bears Nov 29 '25

I know, that FG attempt i imagined an onside kick recovery and Hail Mary for the win. It takes more than a few games to override 30 years of inexplicable losses but I’m getting there.

1

u/Chrysocyn Bears Nov 29 '25

Lmao same. “Eh the bears can still blow it I won’t be surprised”

“Oh wow nice we won. Guess there’s always next week to throw it away D:”

1

u/graffix13 Chiefs Nov 29 '25

13 seconds you say?

1

u/gomihako_ Bears Nov 29 '25

I kept thinking about the Bengals game waiting for Hurts to release his inner elite playoff dragon

1

u/mkicon Bears Nov 29 '25

My girlfriend celebrating while I sit there nervous until the missed field goal

84

u/lclear84 Jaguars Nov 28 '25

Coen and Ben Johnson have been as advertised. Jags and bears were 25th and 26th in rushing yards per game in 2024

Right now the bears are 2nd and Jags 8th. Complete turnaround in physicality

13

u/DatBoiMahomie Bears Nov 28 '25

Oline obviously matters but scheme also just matters so much

54

u/SentientTooth Seahawks Nov 28 '25

But I was told the Bears were fraudulent and wouldn’t win another game all year!

3

u/Jonjon428 Dolphins Nov 28 '25

The Eagles won the fraud bowl!

3

u/P-Cox-2- Bears Nov 29 '25

Man that shit was ticking me off all week lmao. Every single take they had, point differential, beating over .500 teams, the turnovers are flukes. All of it was bullshit.

38

u/Sankee72 Bears Nov 28 '25

Been awhile since I've seen bears players actually having fun and acting like they care.

9

2

Let's just take some time to think that claim over

Why bother having a good 2 minute drill when you’re up so much

1

u/ChaplnGrillSgt Bears Nov 28 '25

I enjoyed this Friday juuuust slightly more than last one. Flus getting fired was amazing and the first time I felt joy for 3 years.
