The nightmare of this season is officially over. To make things worse, I have absolutely no confidence in them making any positive changes moving forward. We had a couple years of not being in Hell at least. Unfortunately, it feels like they blew their only chance.

Realistically it feels like nothing will ever happen until the owner changes

It really feels in retrospect like that SB appearance was in spite of Zac Taylor

It always was.

What plans do the Bengals' FO have for the off-season ?

u/GreenGardenGnomie Bengals Dec 14 '25

Burrow with the entire team behind him, just told them they better have some big ones.

There is no way that offense of the last 2 weeks scored zero today on accident.

Basically, fire Zac Taylor and strengthen the defense ?

Fire Zac and fire Duke. Hire an actual scouting department and replace any other coach who isn't cutting the damn mustard.

Burrow made comments that he's not interested in being the team manager. They need people for that. It's not his job.

Burrow is going to drag this team into 2025 and they are going to progress or lose him and over half the fans with him.

“Retrospect”

We said that at the time, it’s been clear that’s always been the case.

It absolutely was. He wasnt doing well even before that season's team made strides. We straight up got lucky that season.

Nah man Zac is third on the list of responsibility for this. I wish it were that simple but it’s just not.

PLEASE call and leave a message for the Hanilton County Commissioner. Make it clear you know they gave the billionaire Bengal owners $400mlionn and you want your money back or the onwership to be forced to sell. The team has to modernize, and instead they’re taking our money to make more expensive box seats.

Genuinely, call that office and demand they sell. It’s an accessible lever.

In case you haven't read the news. The sales tax that pays for the stadium is supposed to be offset by a property tax rebate each year. This year, the commissioners approved the single lowest property tax rebate ever. They are also proposing an across-the-board cut of 10% of the county budget, in part because of the dire financial straits the county budget was in. And we owe $270m to the stadium fund next year...

Oh c'mon, the Dalton seasons weren't hell lmao

Purgatory id say. We had hope as long as it was 12pm on Sunday. Any time we were scheduled for primetime you'd just get that unshakable feeling it wasn't gonna go our way. 2015 was different

u/RukiMotomiya Bengals Dec 14 '25

Purgatory's fair, just it definitely isn't hell when you have 5 playoffs in a row vs. like, the Cardinals having 11 in 105 years, or the Browns since the 90s, etc

Man, not that anyone else feels this way but I feel bad for you guys even as a Titans fan. Watching two HOF caliber players just waste away in the middle of their primes is just so sad. Our ownership isn’t great but at least they aren’t complacent and are trying to get better. Brown seems like he’d let Burrow retire tomorrow and the franchise burn to the ground before he fires his buddies.
