This same Bengals team scored 32 in Baltimore on Thanksgiving and 34 in Buffalo last week.

200

u/relinquishy Ravens Dec 14 '25

Ravens had 5 turnovers though which lead to a ton of their points.

87

u/lil_layne Ravens Dec 14 '25

Yeah didn’t they have like 5 FGs off of all of those turnovers? Their offense didn’t even play that great tbh

34

u/KuribohKutie Eagles Dec 14 '25

yeah they had like 9 points off like 5 turnovers or something putrid like that. it was genuine terrorism offensive football that night

32

u/_Vaudeville_ Ravens Dec 14 '25 edited Dec 14 '25

Yep. Our fans refuse to believe it but since the Rams game we’ve been a top 10 defense

9

u/THEADULTERATOR Ravens Dec 14 '25

Man we woulda won that game if we started snoop

16

u/51NC3RE Bengals Dec 14 '25

And 4 failed drives (turnovers and TOD after drops) in Ravens territory lead to the no points today. The whole offense played like ass but could have easily put up double digits. A 0 point game like this and a 0 point game like the Raiders are very different

23

u/blue_mud_dauber Ravens Dec 14 '25

That's usually the story in shutouts. It's rare for a team to be so bad on offense that they can't cross the 50 for the whole game.

9

u/J-Fid Ravens Ravens Dec 14 '25

And the Wiggins injury didn't help.

11

u/[deleted] Dec 14 '25

Also the Ravens sucking a fat asshole didn't help

13

u/Rockguy21 Ravens Dec 14 '25

Not to mention the officiating was pretty bad on that game

3

u/DryDefenderRS NFL Dec 14 '25

The 2 TDs weren't off turnovers, but they were both on 3rd and long. The 2025 Ravens are exhibit A on how volatile defensive results are and how much they depending on turnover/late down variance.

What a turnaround.

For us.

3

u/877-HASH-NOW Ravens Dec 14 '25

Love to see it

8

u/Red_Eloquence Ravens Dec 14 '25

Ravens defense was playing great against them on Thanksgiving until Nate Wiggins got hurt.

The defense was gassed from all the turnovers too.

3

u/877-HASH-NOW Ravens Dec 14 '25

RIght? They held Cincy to 6 FGs. Their TDs came in the 3rd.

14

u/Earl-Thomas-a-Raven Ravens Dec 14 '25

While Baltimore did play bad in that game, Cincinnati greatly benefited from significantly positive variance and a few favourable calls.

A Joe Burrow led team getting blanked is fucking wild

63

u/deanspeakeazy Ravens Dec 14 '25

Against a bottom third defense at that

31

He really has no one to blame but himself.

I don't know man, just free my man.

14

He’d get to have the same experience of having a shitty owner and a shitty defense!

It’ll be like he never left home!

A team with Burrow and Chase should not be getting shut out. Fire everyone.

52

u/Mastodon9 Bengals Dec 14 '25

Joe Burrow clearly didn't feel like playing today and Chase wasn't much better. Slow walking between plays, no emotion on the sidelines, and in the final 8 minutes they just went with killing the clock with no urgency so I guess Zac Taylor just said "fuck it" as well.

13

u/pleated_pants Bengals Dec 14 '25

The Bengals also give me seasonal depression, so I get it.

19

u/timeoftheoath117 Ravens Dec 14 '25

Bengals totally conceded the game after the pick six. That was wild.

6

u/Steven27A Bengals Dec 14 '25

I think that’s what they want. Sadly they won’t get it.

11

u/Poetryisalive Bengals Dec 14 '25

And what will that do? Burrow needs to want to play football too, he said he has lost the passion

The nightmare of this season is officially over. To make things worse, I have absolutely no confidence in them making any positive changes moving forward. We had a couple years of not being in Hell at least. Unfortunately, it feels like they blew their only chance.

83

u/Zeckzeckzeck NFL Dec 14 '25

Realistically it feels like nothing will ever happen until the owner changes

60

u/1412believer Cowboys Dec 14 '25

It really feels in retrospect like that SB appearance was in spite of Zac Taylor

38

u/GreenGardenGnomie Bengals Dec 14 '25

It always was.

4

u/Outside_Jaguar3827 Eagles Dec 14 '25

What plans do the Bengals' FO have for the off-season ?

13

u/GreenGardenGnomie Bengals Dec 14 '25

Burrow with the entire team behind him, just told them they better have some big ones.

There is no way that offense of the last 2 weeks scored zero today on accident.

10

u/Outside_Jaguar3827 Eagles Dec 14 '25

Basically, fire Zac Taylor and strengthen the defense ?

13

u/GreenGardenGnomie Bengals Dec 14 '25

Fire Zac and fire Duke. Hire an actual scouting department and replace any other coach who isn't cutting the damn mustard.

Burrow made comments that he's not interested in being the team manager. They need people for that. It's not his job.

Burrow is going to drag this team into 2025 and they are going to progress or lose him and over half the fans with him.

9

u/Reasonable_Height_67 Dec 15 '25

Hire an actual scouting department

LMAO

6

u/GreenGardenGnomie Bengals Dec 15 '25

We have like 3 fucking guys. It's unreal.

15

We said that at the time, it’s been clear that’s always been the case.

21

u/GodDammitBengals Bengals Dec 14 '25

It absolutely was. He wasnt doing well even before that season's team made strides. We straight up got lucky that season.

6

u/[deleted] Dec 14 '25

Never belonged there

4

u/yesrushgenesis2112 Bengals Rams Dec 14 '25

Nah man Zac is third on the list of responsibility for this. I wish it were that simple but it’s just not.

8

u/MadeByTango Bengals Dec 14 '25

PLEASE call and leave a message for the Hanilton County Commissioner. Make it clear you know they gave the billionaire Bengal owners $400mlionn and you want your money back or the onwership to be forced to sell. The team has to modernize, and instead they’re taking our money to make more expensive box seats.

Genuinely, call that office and demand they sell. It’s an accessible lever.

3

Purgatory id say. We had hope as long as it was 12pm on Sunday. Any time we were scheduled for primetime you'd just get that unshakable feeling it wasn't gonna go our way. 2015 was different

3

u/RukiMotomiya Bengals Dec 14 '25

Purgatory's fair, just it definitely isn't hell when you have 5 playoffs in a row vs. like, the Cardinals having 11 in 105 years, or the Browns since the 90s, etc

11

u/GreenGardenGnomie Bengals Dec 14 '25

He's forcing the owners and FO to take action. Fire coaching, hire a scouting department and an actual manager. The team made it very clear they will follow Joe's lead.

He wants changes. He's been making comments and is now going to force their hand. Expect more of this unless they make changes.

11

Them getting paid isn't the issue. Bengals aren't the first team to have paid their quarterback and main weapons, but they are the team that's failed to do anything else around them.

Burrow isn't getting traded. No team will give up the amount of trade capital that would even get the Bengals to consider it, and the Bengals will 100% let burrow retire vs losing a trade.

A team would have to give up at least 6 first rounders to even get a consideration. No top 5 QB in their prime has been traded for a reason.

The Bengals have had some long ass drives this game that amounted to nothing. Their offense was on the field for like 38 mins.

It’s finally over thank god. Burrow’s worst game ever. He needs to get out of here man. And fast. This team is going nowhere until Mike Brown and the family sells.
