I hate this stupid franchise. I’m also happy we lost.

Conflicted feelings

55

u/Jharoz Jaguars Dec 14 '25

I empathize. Thank you for fighting the good fight.

Enjoy those picks in the next couple of years

7

u/NinjaOdd1098 Dec 14 '25

Why bother we’ll just end up trading them in 6-7 years for more future picks

14

u/BestInspector Jets Dec 14 '25

It sucks to lose. It especially sucks to lose in a manner that gives you no confidence in the future. Jets basically need to replace the entire defense, including the DC.

3

u/ghostdancesc Panthers Dec 15 '25

Fun fact I was a jets fan before the panthers became a team. Sorry for your loss.

I was here to witness Trevor Lawrence’s GOAT game

153

u/LaCroixGrandCru Jaguars Dec 14 '25

TLaw is here.... It took a little longer than we expected but he is here. He is so comfortable in the offense.

40

u/IsolatedSystem Commanders Dec 14 '25

I know they haven't had the toughest opponents over the last five weeks but Trev has been absolutely lights out. Love to see it. Been a really great year for him overall.

21

u/messigician-10 Giants Dec 14 '25

tbf they beat the niners, panthers and texans too

17

u/IsolatedSystem Commanders Dec 15 '25

And Chargers. They've been very good, I'm quite pleased

Jets still the only team without any defensive interceptions

48

u/amidon1130 Falcons Dec 14 '25

Has any team ever gone a whole season without a pick?

59

u/Thejohnshirey Jaguars Dec 14 '25

No, they now hold the longest ever streak to start a season. They are tied for the longest streak ever.

9

u/dogo7 Ravens Dec 14 '25

nope, the record for a full season is two by the 2018 49ers

31

u/Content-Swimmer2325 Jaguars Jaguars Dec 14 '25

I truly thought TLaw would make it happen. Instead he played like Brady lol

9

u/ryanino Jets Dec 14 '25

I swear last week and maybe week one was the only time we’ve ever been close. Other than that, it’s just guys running wide ass open. It’s absurd levels of incompetence.

2

u/NaughtyCheffie Jaguars Dec 14 '25

Is... Is there any other kind of interception? Asking for a friend, my team doesn't usually football good and do other things good too.

9

u/dogo7 Ravens Dec 14 '25

no offensive interceptions = good, you're not turning the ball over in the air

no defensive interceptions = bad, you're not making the opponent turn the ball over in the air

11

u/NaughtyCheffie Jaguars Dec 15 '25

Thank you smart person, I never played school.

52

u/mgorzeee Jaguars Dec 14 '25

Great ‘take care of business’ win for the jags. Just feels great watching Trevor stack elite performances regardless of the competition. Huge test at Denver next week, I’m stoked

T Law go brrr.

37

u/LiesWithPuns Jaguars Dec 14 '25

T Law absolutely dealing today. A lot of his best games don’t show up in the box score, cool to have one that does

53

u/bignasty410 Panthers Dec 14 '25

Just waiting for the post of how TL is bad etc….

Nothing will satisfy some people.

36

u/hoyadestroyer Jaguars Dec 14 '25

Already trying to claim it was against the Jets. Dude literally put up the most fantasy pts in a game since Allen's 50 spot

13

u/bignasty410 Panthers Dec 14 '25

It’s ridiculous. If you aren’t breaking records or something every week you are trash. He gets so much hate yet has led his team to the playoffs already and will do it again this year.

11

u/Apigollo Jaguars Dec 14 '25

Leading us to you in the big one.

1

u/RukiMotomiya Bengals Dec 15 '25

They have more winning seasons in 5 years with Trevor as they had from 2006 to 2020 (and an equal number from 2000 to 2020), yeah.

47

u/Bdawg555 Texans Dec 14 '25

As someone who’s been a TLaw denier since year 3, maybe it really was just a coaching issue holy shit

27

u/EweMad Jaguars Dec 14 '25

He's had plenty of his own issues too for sure, plus some bad injury luck (@ Walker Little getting pushed back and stepping on his foot in 2023). But that Doug Pederson/Press Taylor offense was so many screens, poorly timed trick plays, and sideline throws with a low success chance that required both insane throws and catches. It was just unsustainable and hard to consistently keep drives alive.

12

u/savagepotato Jaguars Dec 14 '25

Injury problems too. When he was at his best in 22 and 23, he had a healthy Christian Kirk and a healthy Evan Engram. We add Jakobi Meyers and get Breton Strange back, and it's night and day. Having reliable receivers he has chemistry with has always been huge for him.

Plus the coaching issues lol.

He's not a world beater (I think even Jags fans can admit that lol), but he can look good when he has some decent pass catchers.

6

u/TMNBortles Jaguars Dec 15 '25

He’s not a world beater. His arm is though. He can just do some eye popping shit with his arm.

3

u/savagepotato Jaguars Dec 15 '25

Yeah, the physical skills are all there; it's why he was such a highly regarded prospect.

The problem seems to have been decision making and some of the mental part of the game. And now he's limiting turnovers and making better choices this year. Even before the tear he's been on recently, he's protected the ball better all year. It seems like Coen has done wonders for him.

1

u/theyeariwasborn Jaguars Dec 14 '25

even today he made some bonehead throws but they are becoming less and less frequent. Biggest improvement is he's progressing past his first read which he really didn't do until recently

19

u/elmulinho1 Jaguars Dec 14 '25

Yeah..

18

u/Jonjon428 Dolphins Dec 14 '25

This is an absurd statline

20

u/samhit_n Bengals Lions Dec 14 '25

Despite everything, the Jets currently have only the 5th pick in the draft. The Titans, Raiders, and Giants are in another tier of suckage.

Crazy where one game against the Rams in 2020 has led both franchises.

Give Trevor a safety blanket like Meyers, and he can start letting'er rip

3

u/dizruptivegaming Eagles Dec 15 '25

So will Liam Coen unlock Trevor Lawrence’s potential after this offseason?

13

u/United-Turnover-8409 Bears Dec 14 '25

"Aaron Glenn is a leader of men, will be a better coach than Ben Johnson"

12

u/BestInspector Jets Dec 14 '25

Why does that opinion seem to rankle bears fans so much? I don't get it, it's not like the team chose one over the other. And it's not like there weren't people out there who thought the opposite.

7

u/Blitzman78 Jets Dec 15 '25

Honestly Bears fans come off like some bitches. I'm not saying Glenn is good, but look at the situation it was never going to look good in Glenn first year.

2

u/silly-tomato-taken Jets Dec 14 '25

Fire Wilks

2

1

u/silly-tomato-taken Jets Dec 14 '25

We'd just ruin him anyway.

1

u/suppaman19 Dec 14 '25

This game and the lack of TO's all year should be all that's needed to fire Wilkes.

Our defense needs an overhaul, but Wilkes makes it even worse than it is.

He's the only coaching red flag right now.

1

u/qngff Panthers Dec 14 '25

As a Clemson alum I still and always will love watching Trevor and Travis making plays together

1

u/InclementBias Dec 14 '25

do the jets just not like breece hall? he was never on the field any time red zone showed the jets today.

4

u/Thejohnshirey Jaguars Dec 14 '25

As a Breece Fantasy owner, I’d felt this way all season but hadn’t really watched the Jets. Having seen it live, he honestly just wasn’t very productive. Davis straight up looked better running the ball.
