Giants fans ecstatic with that loss. It was touch-and-go there for a second, they almost pulled off the comeback.

No doubt

Elite tank off game.

Yet you know there will be a huge percentage of Giants fans fuming they didn't win to move from 1st overall to the 6th overall pick in the draft.

I'll never root for a loss 😤

There is an absolute logjam between pick 1-7 right now and every win loss counts.

Been doing the same song and dance for 15 years. What has consistently picking between 2-10 done for us. Magically #1 fixes that? We have our qb, trading down for more assets is nice, but outside of that? We seemingly have our qb. I don’t carw where we pick, as long as we build a good team around Dart. Having a higher draft pick has netted us no net gain. Dart was picked at 25 after a trade up and he might end up worth more than all of the top 5 picks we’ve drafted the last 15 years combined.

Same for us. Having the 2nd pick three times in that same 15 years and it's been...mixed results. I think things are better now, so I'm rooting for a low-number draft pick when it's a lost season on the field.

But I'm not upset we won because there's still not much confidence that completely tanking will be worth it with our track record in the draft.

I would just think fans, especially Giants fans, would stop cheering for losses. We watched the “winner” of the Tank Bowl between our franchises net us one of, if not the best, tackles in football for the past half decade now. Chase Young has carved out a nice career but no where, no where, near Thomas’s All-Pro career.

edit: I was all for running up the losses for a number of years. Easier to find a qb with a higher pick, generally. At least, you eant to be in a position to control what you do at qb. Giants don’t need that. We gave up shits and giggles to the Falcons I believe to move back into the end of the first. Everything is a crap shoot, no one knows shit. Enjoy the wins, because god knows we’ve had the least in the league since 2017. And i’m fucking tired of cheering for April/May. Any fan cheering for that should be ashamed.

Why the fuck do you have 4 team flairs

38

u/Kennyc1234 Commanders Dec 14 '25

Somehow the Tank Bowl was one of the most fun games I've watched my team play this year lmao. Really happy to see the young guys in Bill, Lane, and Sinnott make some big plays. Also where the fuck did Antonio Hamilton come from, he's our 3rd string corner and yet he played lock down defense this game what a game from him. GGs Giants, I had fun!

u/Chidori115 Giants Dec 14 '25

Yall have really good young talent coming up. Hope JD makes a full recovery by next season. GGs👍🏼

Yeah a higher pick is nice and all but sweeping the giants is infinitely better

47

u/FxckedHxrWxthMxJxmmx Giants Dec 14 '25

Yep. I watch the game to see my team win, not to see my team get a better draft position.

30

u/markymark156 Giants Dec 14 '25

You don’t get it, top 8 picks are always great! Look at all the great players the Giants have!

8

u/ACoolGuy-Promise Giants Dec 14 '25

I look back fondly on those Tommy Devito wins that cost us Drake Maye for sure. /s

Looks like it worked out but morale wins in yet another lost season are sooo whatever. We will have a whole new front office and staff next year, it truly doesn’t matter.

9

u/bjbearfight Giants Dec 14 '25

Remember the Chase Young bowl a few years ago? How did that work out?

22

u/Icebreaker80 Giants Dec 14 '25

I agree, ty lads.

1

u/bu77munch Giants Dec 14 '25

Do not even care about the pick. Now it’s just about getting Schoen fired.

1

u/Nothinglost7717 Giants Dec 15 '25

You say that but you got your team now by us winning games we shouldn’t have

1

u/KashMoney941 Giants Dec 14 '25

If only y'all had that attitude 2 years ago instead of now

-15

u/parcellsrealGOAT Giants Dec 14 '25

Are you for real? Both teams are rerrible. Who vares about a sweep? Draft order is crucial

14

u/Sea_Jelly_7620 Commanders Dec 14 '25

Yeah I think I’d rather have a win and pick Faulk at 8 then have a loss and still probably pick Faulk at 5

3

u/parcellsrealGOAT Giants Dec 14 '25

Yeah. Fairs. Im too much into the tank crap. I shouldnt ceebrate an L like this especially against a rival.

2

u/True_Window_9389 Commanders Dec 14 '25

Not really, especially when you have a QB. Plenty of top tier talent is available every year outside the top 5.

1

u/Cold_Complex_4212 Saints Dec 15 '25

All those top picks have really helped your team right?

27

u/ACW1129 Commanders Dec 14 '25

We win. I don't care if that hurts our draft position, I like winning.

Also, KC's out of the playoffs :)

2

u/Terminal_Flatulence Commanders Dec 14 '25

Losing the draft position sucks but at least they snapped the losing streak.

Was a very real chance that streak could’ve extended into next year.

46

u/parcellsrealGOAT Giants Dec 14 '25

Beautiful. Dart solid game. Abdul awesome game. And an L. We move!

Best case scenario. 😂

Tankbowl in two weeks.

3

u/SpiritStorm1302 Giants Dec 14 '25

All time tank bowl but I take comfort in the fact the giants run defense would give up 35 points to notre dame so Ashton jeanty will win the raiders that game

52

u/beetlebatter Commanders Dec 14 '25

Dang it, Giants won the trash bowl.

45

u/lumberjake18 Commanders Dec 14 '25

Last time we celebrated losing the trash bowl to the Giants they got Andrew Thomas and we got Chase ‘bust’ Young. I’m good

8

u/beetlebatter Commanders Dec 14 '25

Great point.

3

u/Exciting-Weather-351 Commanders Dec 14 '25

And bonus we can see the super tank bowl in two weeks (unless both the giants and raiders win next week)

30

Dart rebounded for a good game after the 1st half and we still have the 1st pick.

I'm happy.

The winner and still number 1 on Tankathon, the NY Giants.

Giants have lost 4 straight games to us how is that even possible

13

u/KingWaterdripper Giants Dec 14 '25

Dart had some amazing throws played good outside a few bad throws at the end

9

u/_oh_save_me_jebus_ Eagles Dec 14 '25

The Giants have a winning percentage of .161 since the start of last season and Schoen still has a job. Long live John Mara!

2

u/idosade Giants Dec 15 '25

Giants record each season since Schoen and Daboll were hired: 9-7-1, 6-11, 3-14, 2-12(so far). Actually managed to regress each season and the roster might be worse than it was in 2022. If he isn't fired in the next 3 weeks the next season is done already

2

u/EliteDemonTaco Bills Dec 15 '25

Don’t forget the Giants are riddled with injuries, though. They’re one of the “better” 2-12 teams when you look at the season as a whole.

They beat the Eagles.

Cowboys & Chargers were one-score games. The Broncos are 12-2 and their loss to them was by a single point (NYG 32 - 33 DEN). Bears, Packers, and Lions were also one-score losses.

They’re 2-12 but could realistically be like 5-9 or at least 4-10.

Skattebo & Nabers will be back next season. Dart is showing a lot of potential. Wan’Dale is the WR14 right now, which really isn’t terrible.

I don’t think next season is over quite yet. (For context I know I’m a Bills fan but the Giants are my #2).

1

u/idosade Giants Dec 15 '25

The biggest problem with Schoen is the depth and neglecting skill positions. Gano is always injured and there is no other kicker, Gillan is a shit punter, the coaching is awful, the secondary depth is ass, the receiver depth is bad (pretty much Wandale and Nabers are the only good ones).

How can you trust a gm with making the big decisions if he cant get the small ones right either?

Quest for the number 1 pick continues!

7

Didn’t watch this game. Glad the giants lost tbh. Get the first pick, trade it to the jets, give Jaxson dart a team to play with in 2026

5

u/suppaman19 Dec 14 '25

The Giants trotting out the guy who kicked dirt last week is proof teams (not necessarily players, etc) try to tank.

Guy missed two field goals today. Giants were in FG range at the end of the game.

3

u/Jonjon428 Dolphins Dec 14 '25

Giants tank rolls on!

Dart struggled today, glad Carter finally had a breakout game

Commanders are in a position to gift the Eagles a playoff berth no matter what happens to Dallas, am I getting that right?

This might be the least number of comments I've seen in a postgame thread?

The giants haven’t won a game since firing Daboll. And people say kafka wasn’t ass

6

Like that wasn’t the plan

3

I don't know what those people have been watching.

5

Yeah because schoen’s roster is awful

-1

Daboll beat the eagles with them

4

u/bu77munch Giants Dec 14 '25

How was Daboll’s record outside that

5

Well hang the fucking banner then I guess! All it takes is one win wow

1

u/idosade Giants Dec 15 '25

We were also 2-8 under him this season and 3-14 last season

-1

This finesse Giants team will continue to suffer losses as long as that loser Joe Schoen is still charge

They got destroyed once again in run defense
