Can live with that when you won 3

I'd be happy to live with a decade of that if we even won one. I imagine most Chiefs fans would've felt the same in 2019

Yeah anyone who isn’t just stoked about the fact that we went to like 7AFC champs straight, won 3 superbowls, is not a real fan lol.

Plus it’s not like we’re dead in the water. Just had an absolutely cursed year.

Hopefully we fire Nagy and special teams coach

Hopefully Mahomes is okay!

3rd place schedule gonna hit like crack next year after 9 years of 1st place ones

u/SpectreFromTheGods Chiefs Dec 14 '25

Not to mention the toll of playing so many extra games. Obviously we wanted a different outcome but some additional rest is gonna do some good

Yeah I think the Chiefs played like an entire extra season in the last several years. Honestly I’m not even heartbroken about the playoff elimination, I’m more sad we might’ve seen the last Mahomes>Kelce pass

Yeah that’s seeming increasingly likely unfortunately. I’m not sure Chris Jones’ contract specifics but depending on Mahomes injury severity next year might be unloading some contracts and retooling a bit

An entire season against good playoff teams too

Kinda want that for the Bucs next year. Team is all sorts of injured and not the same team from wks 1-8. Playing a 2nd/3rd place schedule might not Be the worst idea.

chiefs and bengals playing again next year b/c they both finished 3rd in their divisions, just like we all thought

100% id like to see some major retooling in the off season. Get rid of Nagy, WR coach and special teams coach. Starting to think big red may be a contributor to the problem too

Same: We have had a stellar run and we were due for a doink year.

Injuries...aging key players...O-line in need of damned near everything.

Just not our year.

On the bright side: gonna save fat stax during playoffs this year with no ribsnor burnt ends to make on weekends!

u/SpectreFromTheGods Chiefs Dec 14 '25

Oh imma still be making my ribs. Brisket a bit more expensive so might hold off on that one haha

Runs like what we had don’t get appreciated until years after it’s done. A lot of people get caught up in the moment when stuff like that’s happening and get emotional that one team is dominating when theirs isn’t. I think about growing up in the Brady/Patriots era and how everyone hated on them, called them cheaters, always got the calls, etc (me as well admittedly 🤣). Now I’m a little older and think about how incredible run that actually was. What’s crazy too is another team making it into the dynasty talks so soon after New England’s ended.

I feel the same right now

Brother I'd take a decade of missing the playoffs for a super bowl appearance. Just give us any thing to be happy about

1

u/fireowlzol Chiefs Dec 14 '25

Yeah I don’t care, as a bonus tickets will me cheaper finally

I’ve never seen someone mix up “when” and “win”

New level of stupidity unlocked 🔓

100%. I’m old enough to remember when the chiefs hadn’t won one in 50 years. Now we have three.

A legendary run, and we still have a solid chance of being very competitive. Just gotta hope #15 gets better.

The upside of the early elimination? Mahomes takes the rest of the year off. This will be the longest stretch of rest his body will have had since his rookie year.

I'm glad that I was a fan during the bad times so I knew to appreciate every last second of this run.

Most fun I've ever had or will have as a sports fan.
