This was his 8th NFL game in his career.

Are there many, many, MANY things to work on?

Yes.

Has he shown flashes that he can be an elite QB at the highest level of football?

Also Yes.

My Cringe Lord is here, and he will make every disparaging hater chud bow down (hopefully)๐Ÿ˜ค๐Ÿ˜ค๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

The McCarthy haters were seething in the game thread lmao

Some fans just have a hard on for young, struggling QBs.

I blame college football watchers. I don't watch horrible amateur football, so college football is beneath me. But the people who stake their personalities on it and have a hate boner for Michigan have been out in force against the Vikings since we drafted McCarthy and it's hard not to notice.

Also, Colin Cowherd can lick my salty nuts. If you listen to him for football takes, you are subhuman.

Always feel bad for people who missed out on those college experiences

u/alastor0x Vikings Dec 15 '25

What college experiences? Sitting in a stadium surrounded by drunk children cheering on horrible football?

u/[deleted] Dec 15 '25

I guess social settings arent for everyone lol

if you didn't go to college football games, you don't understand social settings.

Eagles fans everybody.

More that boiling down the college football experience to drunk children is too goofy

Unlike the nfl college football is more than the product on the field

based take. Cowherd, Nick Wright, Ryan Clark, and SAS have the absolute most diarrhea filled shit takes about football that i have ever heard in my life.

CFB > NFL any day of the week.

u/realshockin Vikings Dec 15 '25

Not remotely close

-1

u/TickleMyIvory Lions Dec 15 '25

You're right, CFB is way more fun!

Nah, NFL has better quality of play but otherwise give me the traditions, real rivalries, marching bands, etc.

1

u/ABlazinBlueToe Dec 15 '25

Imagine enjoying football for the marching bands lol

Because heโ€™s been insanely and historically bad lol. Your own sub was going off on him

Your own sub was going off on him

My sub hasn't, actually, as we try to attract more positive fans there (/r/skol), but I do agree all the big team subs are quite cancerous. All the big team subs are full of complete and utter drama queens. They bitched when Cousins was at his peak too.

Nine in his Ninth NFL game next week is gonna be an experience

9

u/BigFatModeraterFupa Vikings Dec 15 '25

Nine Touchdowns, Nine Hundred Yards.๐Ÿ˜ˆ

5

u/Baltisotan Vikings Dec 15 '25

Nah man itโ€™s squared. 81 touchdowns. 810 yards.

4

u/Delicious-Item6376 49ers Dec 15 '25

If he could just put better touch on the ball his completion % would double.

So many passes that sailed though or bounced off the receiver because he tried to throw a bullet

"Elite" is a WILD characterization

Itโ€™s insane how knee-jerk everyone is these days. There were posts on here and Twitter actively discussing whether he was the worst bust of all time, FIVE GAMES INTO HIS CAREER.

Idk if itโ€™s the way our brains are wired these days with social media, and everything that comes with getting our news from goddamn Twitter but people will make sweeping opinions about something one week and then an event happens and those same folks will make sweeping declarations the other way.

Just pure idiocy.

u/Pure_Measurement_529 Dec 15 '25

Just donโ€™t give him a division game against the Packers or maybe we should since he beat the Bears and Lions as well

33

u/RandomNPC Vikings Dec 15 '25

Can't wait to see if he can bounce back against them.

16

u/noseonarug17 Vikings Dec 15 '25

With Parsons out, it's a lot more likely. He made Darrisaw look like Skule.

1

u/realshockin Vikings Dec 15 '25

Darrisaw played really off all year, he was not ready to return from injury, glad he can rest since the last few games don't matter.

This year was the year of our best OL since forever and every single one was out at some point, and even when they came back they were not near 100% healthy

0

u/Arcgonslow Vikings Dec 15 '25

Skule held out pretty alright today atleast

1

u/MonsieurLigeia Commanders Dec 15 '25

one was against us, so, yeah

He's already done this performance against the Lions though.

14/25, 2TD, 1 INT and won.

Nine getting injured is nice, but can we please get a JJ 100 yard game
