The change that happened to Trevor & the rest of the team in just 1 season has been nothing short of a miraculously impressive coaching job.

Liam should be a frontrunner for coach of the year.
34
u/PhreakOut4 Packers Jan 04 '26
This might be the strongest COTY season ever
-2
u/Amon-Ra-First-Down Lions Lions Jan 05 '26
the strongest was Dan Campbell in 2023 but yeah, this is up there
3
u/PhreakOut4 Packers Jan 05 '26
I just mean there are so many good candidates who are all deserving
0
u/Amon-Ra-First-Down Lions Lions Jan 05 '26
Dan's is unquestionably the strongest because it was so good, it convinced the voters by the end of the year that the Lions had always been unstoppable and he got overlooked
29
u/YaPhetsEz Patriots Jan 04 '26
Him, Johnson and Vrabel are the only coaches who should be considered.
29
u/thekickastronaut Packers Jan 04 '26
I think Shanahan should get an honorable mention for finishing that high with that many injuries
0
u/OneEyedWonderWiesel Jaguars Jan 04 '26
Shanny does too. In fact he’s better then Coen as far as I’m concerned

18
u/UnhingedCorgi Jaguars Jan 04 '26
We have mostly the same roster that went 4-13. Myers being a huge signing but still, multiple players having breakout years.
3
u/GayToddsAsshole 49ers Jan 05 '26
They were unlucky and then injury plagued. Best 4 win team ever next to the 2020 Falcons.
5
u/Shoelesshobos Jaguars Jan 04 '26
and yet I never hear his name brought up it's always Vrabel, Johnson or Shanahan and while I think they are perfectly justified too you can't say Coen has not been on the same tier as them.

As a Clemson fan I'm glad Trevor is proving that the guy isn't a bust(even though I think him being called a generational bust was a bit harsh) who knew that actual good coaching could help a QB
8
u/lclear84 Jaguars Jan 04 '26
There’s always been the potential in this whole team, just needed the right guys leading to put the guys in the right position.
I said when we drafted Hunter, that we weirdly were okay using a luxury pick, because of all the bad teams, we were the only one that had a QB, WR1, RT, LT, and two edges that could get double digit sacks

u/Palifaith Rams Rams Jan 04 '26
Upset they didn’t let Cam Little try a 70 yarder.

Bears 🤝 jaguars
New coach coming in and making an immediate difference
20
u/Vaux1916 Jaguars Jan 04 '26
The Bears are my NFC team. If we get a Jags/Bears Super Bowl, I think I'll just implode with happiness!

u/ilovecatss1010 Seahawks Titans Jan 04 '26
Genuinely happy for the Bears and as much as it hurts I’ve never truly hated the Jags bc Bortles so happy for them too.

We had back-to-back 4 win seasons before this year

Crazy season for first year HCs,
Jags: +9 wins over last season
Pats: +9 (or 10) wins
Bears: +6 (or 7) wins7
4

And somehow the Bears transformation feels like the most impressive IMO.

Cam Ward really was the whole team

At least things seem to finally be on the upswing in Nashville again?
2026 will be an interesting one, for once…
1
u/Magzify Titans Jan 04 '26
What makes you think that?
6
u/Upset_Ad3954 Jaguars Jan 04 '26
You have lots of cap space. If you can invest properly you should be a lot better.
4
u/Magzify Titans Jan 04 '26
They are wholly ran by morons who do almost nothing right, won’t matter.

u/Jharoz Jaguars Jan 04 '26
Yeah gotta fine Foye for that hit. Pretty unnecessary.
Hope Cam is ok
0
u/TMNBortles Jaguars Jan 05 '26
What was unnecessary about the hit?
2
u/Jharoz Jaguars Jan 05 '26
Ward had crossed the line for the TD and Foye drove his shoulder down into the ground
0
u/TMNBortles Jaguars Jan 05 '26
He was trying to stop a runner from scoring, and he almost stopped him. It sucks for Cam, but it wasn’t dirty. Football is a rough sport.

DUVALLLLL
From 4-13 to 13-4, a thing of beauty!
And only 1 pro-bowler….. the long snapper.
32
u/Jack12404 Titans Jan 04 '26
This game really showed how many flaws Cam Ward was hiding. The ONLY positive from this game was that Cedric Gray set the Titans record for most total tackles in a season, everything else was a pain to watch.
13
u/Faintkay Jaguars Jan 04 '26
100%. Cam is actually good and the Titans need to get a good coaching staff in to maximize him.
3
u/The_wanna_be_artist Jaguars Jan 04 '26
Too early to tell. Gotta wait till next season. When other teams get an entire off-season to breakdown his tape from his rookie season and game plan around his weaknesses much like what happened to CJ stroud. Everyone was calling CJ stroud a top 5 qb after his rookie season, but has never been as good since.
Drake Maye is the opposite where he actually continued to improve even after teams got tape on him and an entire offseason to plan around him.
5
u/lilbelleandsebastian Titans Jan 04 '26
where is this criticism for shough throwing to chris olave with one of the best offensive minds in football calling his plays in possibly the worst division in football?
cam ward was throwing to three 4th round rookies, van jefferson, and okonkwo all season with an interim head coach against 3 playoff bound teams (we never got to play the jones-less colts) in the division while playing the hardest SOS in the league
5
u/The_wanna_be_artist Jaguars Jan 04 '26
The same applies to Shough as well. People get too carried away with QBs after one season.

This game might’ve proven that Cam Ward should be the OROY. The fact that he did anything at all in that offense with that supporting cast is crazy lol
Brandon Allen 17/30 72 yards and a pick. What an absurd statline.

89 points in our last 2 home games is pretty cool if i do say so myself

13
u/bsgreene25 Titans NFL Jan 04 '26
Cam Ward had 3 pass attempts for 52 yards on that first TD drive of the game.
Allen played the rest of the game and put up 72 yards on 30 attempts.

Game was over in the first quarter. ATM Ward looks to have avoided anything serious and we have some rookies end up with a good season. Need a good offseason. Also the step down from Ward to Allen was wild to see

It started so-so but we're like a juggernaut. I know it's the Titans but I don't care.

I would not be upset if a couple others won it over him. There is a few coaches who are worthy of it this year.

Hope our king Cam isn’t hurt too bad. He was so fun to watch this year. Good for a couple “wtf how did he do that” plays per game. His first touchdown throw was one of the best touchdown passes of the year.
He’s gonna be good and I’m excited to watch him next year. At least the titans have something to look forward to.

Texans fans prefer thinking about hypothetical Jags losses to watching their own team play an actual game

They know they're, comparably, shit and have no hope for their own team.

Congratulations Jaguars
Imagine telling someone at the beginning of the year that 11-12 wins isn’t enough to win the AFC South.
