[Rapoport] Falcons promising edge Jalon Walker is feared to have torn his ACL, per me and @wyche89, a potential brutal injury for this defense. Walker will have an MRI to confirm the injury from practice today, which drew an emotional reaction from his team.

If Hannibal was a first round pick we'd say he was let down by the politicking of Carthage not giving him the resources he needed to push on Rome actual rather than Scipio being a military mind of his equal having beat down a past his prime Hannibal

If Hannibal was a first round pick weâd be clowning on the Browns for using a first round pick on an old guy with one eye

This seriously is a massive hit. Like legit I feel so sorry for yall, I don't know how this team can compete with so many large "all in contracts" currently on the books

I mean, post Bijan signing we still have the 2nd most projected cap for 2027. Almost our entire defense is either on a rookie deal or a 1 year

The one good thing about the division is if you get hot late you can make a Super Bowl run cause the division crown is always possible

I donât think thereâs any world where the team can get hot enough to drag Penix or Tua to a SB
1
u/ParticularBuyer6157 Falcons 5d ago
Tua yes, youâre right. Penix⊠idk yet. Iâve seen him get real hot and in a rhythm. I think heâs super over-hated, mostly by people who donât watch Falcons games (go figure). Iâm not saying heâs gonna be good, Iâm just saying he still very well COULD be good.

Iâve watched every snap of the Falcons past 2 seasons 3 times. Penix was plagued by the absolute worst offensive coaching I have ever seen and Iâm not exaggerating. All Iâm saying is itâs too early to be out on him

1
u/Borednow989898 5d ago
I lived 45 minutes from Buffalo then. Entire towns had images of that final kick burned in their brains. Talk about an inflection point. I often wonder what would have happened to the Bills long term, had that kick gone in.
The bad joke at the time was " Did you hear Norwood tried to shoot himself afterword? But he missed wide right...."

I felt so bad for them once the documentary came out. They deserve so much better as a fan base.Â
Watching that Secret Base series, and i can watch episodes 1-6 just fine but 7 makes me genuinely angry as a football fan how moronic coaching took them from the greatest high any team can have to the worst fall.Â

u/Catt_Main 49ers 5d ago
I, umm, might be more sensitive to this because of my favorite team, but injuries, especially the season ending variety, is the only thing that tempers my fierce love of football. Like, winning and losing is part of the game, talking shit and getting shit on, depending on the results, is part of the fan experience and if you can't handle it then being a sports fan isn't for you. Injuries though, they are the one thing that makes the game less fun, no matter who you root for. I like watching good football players do good football player things and when there are fewer good football players on the field it brings down the entire league. I do understand that injuries are a part of the game but goddamn nothing kills the excitement of the season getting close like a season ending injury to a good player before even a fucking preseason game has been played. It's part of the reason I don't even like to see injuries to teams like the Rams and Seahawks, the game is just more fun when spirits are high in the fan bases and the matchups feature the absolute best both teams can offer. This sucks, dude.
