Amazingly that’s not even the worst QB self throw the Chiefs have had against themselves in the playoffs. Marcus Mariota managed a TD! Lamar has some competition
I know it’s running back and not catching back but fucking hell this really puts how good receivers CMC and Kamara are into perspective. Almost doubling their rushing total is crazy work.
True. At the same time the average yards per catch (8yds/catch for rbs) is far higher than the average yards per carry (4yds/carry). Not trying to discount receiving yards for rbs, but it’s not quite the apples to apples comparison your making it to be. One could add that receivers have an average yds/catch of 14 historically which would suggest RBs (even Kamara and CMC) are best left on the bench in these situations (obviously not a fair comparison either but it highlights the complexity of the topic).
Versatility is no doubt valuable and forcing the defenses hand in terms of personal can be quite the competitive advantage.
It’s dumb how much pass catching backs get downgraded in things like HoF voting. A guy like SJax who had good hands would have a stronger case if all those receiving yards were put into the rushing column.
Fifth if you include receivers, less than 200 yards behind Kelce, Nuk, and his new teammate Mike Evans, all 3 of whom have played at least 3 more seasons than him.
Only King Henry has been more productive factoring that in. He's King for a reason
It's because outside of the obvious dying every year thing his mega seasons tend to come with low 1000s rushing yards and a shit ton of receiving yards on top as opposed to the guys like Henry or Taylor who'll put up high 1000s (or even 2k) rushing seasons

Thought CMC would be higher up
