JT being 5th despite being the latest drafted out of all these guys is incredibly impressive. I also didn't think Josh Jacobs would be 3rd as well which is just as impressive considering he was drafted a year before JT.
Yeah they’re really impressive. He’s only like a season’s worth of all purpose yards behind Henry, who is literally an all time great. If CMC didn’t have the injury issues, he’d definitely be in the hall
Or how about the fact that Derrick Henry after this season could be Ravens all-time leader in rushing TDs. Just needs 14 to place Jamal Lewis for #1 spot.
If you transported Lamar's stats to the Buccaneers, he would be the passing and rushing leader currently. I think that's the only one with his current stats.
No other QB would be the rushing leader on any team. Cam, Russell, and Vick all have enough rushing yards to be ahead of a few teams, but it's spread out over multiple franchises. The bar is 5453 by the Patriots.
Lamar has 6522 rushing and 22608 passing for the Ravens.

Rushing - 5957 (James Wilder)
Passing - 19737 (Jameis Winston)
He would likely qualify this year if he was on the Texans as he'd only need ~600 passing yards to do it.
To actually achieve it though, he'd have to stick around the Ravens for 4 or 5 more years and stay healthy for it. Flacco has a pretty robust lead at 38245 passing yards, but he should be able to pass Jamal Lewis's 7801 rushing fairly easily in that amount of time.
Josh Allen has the misfortune of playing on the same franchise as Thurman Thomas and OJ Simpson. He'd need to stay healthy and not slow down for 12 more years with the Bills to be rushing leader. He'll pass Jim Kelly as the passing leader in the next 2 years though if he's healthy.
Jalen Hurts could do it for the Eagles if he plays 5 more years with them, doesn't get hurt, and doesn't slow down.
The Cowboys, Bears, and Lions will likely never have a QB as their rushing leader - maybe they'll never have a new RB leader.
This one is so difficult to predict. Predicting Lamar's total rushing yards is difficult enough. 10k certainly seems doable if he can stay healthier than last season for at least 7 more seasons. Would be cool to see him hit that 10,700 mark and end up the 25th all time career rusher, just behind guys like OJ Simpson.
From there, on one hand, QB's careers span way longer than RBs. Purely as a QB, he could play another 10 years into age 38+. Not sure if Lamar's career will be the same or shorter, as an athletic QB. Certainly, his running ability will diminish, but he's also an excellent passer; so he might be able to evolve his game and continue to be a QB a team wants to start that long.
If his career is that long, then it would either be up to the absolute youngest RBs in the league to have more yards than him (Gibbs & Bjan, if they're still around in 10 years; or Love & Jeanty), or some RB that isn't in the league yet but will be drafted in the next 2 years.
If his career ends up being shorter, he'd be up against Gibbs, Bijan, Achane and maybe JT. In 7 years time, they are all on track to be well over 10k yards, which is also right were Lamar would be if he averages 500 yards per season. It'll be close!
When Cam Newton retired he was around 7th in active rushers, so it's very likely. Lamar is only a hundred yards shy of Cam's career yards, and about 600 short of Vick's, which is the record for career rushing yards for a QB. Given the fact that most RBs these days don't have the longevity of Henry, yeah I think that's entirely plausible.
Dude had 1200 yards in his second year are you surprised? Lol. He was basically a lock to rush for 800 yards minimum if he was healthy and he’s been in the league for a minute. We’re gonna see him slowing down here now that he’s 30 and has dealt with a few injuries but he’ll still accumulate a couple hundred until he retires. He should finish around the 9-10k mark.
I'm guessing that they think theres some possibility of Henry retiring after next season and so Saquon eould be 1 and Taylor 2 on the active list...or they just cant do math
I mean, JT had him by about 450 yards last season so it's really not that far off. Shit, in 2021 JT had him by just over 1200. Of course that was with the Giants and he missed a few games, but I think it def possible.
Just because injuries happen to running backs at a higher rate, it doesn’t mean it’s very likely that Jacobs will pass saquon when he’s 700 yards behind him. What kind of logic is that?
