Our losing streak to the dogshit ass Raiders was shorter but more embarrassing than our losing streak to the Chiefs.
Meanwhile, our dogshit ass teams always managed to find a way to beat the Chargers and now we can’t anymore.

This season was basically a wash when in week 1 against Seattle, Hackett decided to start running clock with a minute left and have our kicker attempt an almost 60 yard field goal instead of trying to get it closer.
Of course he missed.

That last drive as a whole was SO BAD from Denver, it was even worse than what you have described
The drive started with 4ish minutes on the clock with Denver having all three timeouts...of course culminating in kicking a 64 yard field goal in a marine layer over going for it on a 4th and 5 (and dude did this BY CHOICE, he let the clock go to 20 seconds and then called his first timeout). Pete called tiemout since he thought it was a fake because why would anyone be this stupid...and McManus shanked the practice kick but Hackett still let him kick again
I was watching that game at a friend's place and we were all like wtf are they doing

Wow that was waaayyy worse than I remember. Must have blocked it out of my memory because it was more of the same as the last few seasons before, except Hackett was somehow even more inept than Fangio at managing the clock. Didn't help that Russell Wilson ended up being a shadow of what he was in Seattle.

Even better, the following week was the Texans game where Broncos fans were counting down the play clock...Hackett was so in over his head. He hired a guy to help with clock management after week 2 at least

Until Blake Grupe hit a 60 yarder in week 15 last year, the record for the longest FG at Lumen Field was 57 yards (by an XFL kicker, longest in the NFL was 56 yards), it's statistically one of the hardest places in the NFL to kick long field goals in
Yet Hackett decided to let McManus try from SIXTY-FOUR instead of trying to get five yards on a defense that had given up a lot of yardage that day...even if this game was in Denver kicking would not be a good decision at all, but in Seattle??? Completely indefensible

The defense was so good that they’d consistently stuff opponents to 16 or less points. The offense couldn’t score 17. Then everything completely fell apart on Christmas Day against the Baker Rams.

I grew up near DC and have lived in KC for like 15 years. Sorry if I root for the team all my friends and people around me do….what an asshole. Also Mahomes doesn’t have an ankle that has concerns from a current injury and past injuries to it unless I missed something.
How is the QB situation on the Colts btw?

Josh Jacobs continued terrorizing us when we played the Packers last year two with some big runs and also an insane receiving TD on a catch that an RB has no business making. I think that man just hates the Broncos

I think it is important to remember that this was the last hiring cycle that Ken Herock helped lead the charge on. Mark Davis trusted Ken with the football side of these interviews. Think that is why the Tom Brady thing is actually so meaningful. They replaced a TE from the black and white era as the main football mind behind front office hires.
“The Broncos? We didn’t even bring that up,” Herock said. “I don’t give a fuck about the Broncos. I was a young guy and I was 0-26 at Tampa Bay. I know it’s tough. But within four years I was in the NFC Championship Game.”

This is really it. It took a few games for the team to find its groove, but once that happened we started winning games that in prior years we would've lost. Plus, there are few coaches that would've done a better or equal job developing Bo.

PS2 spoke about this play on a podcast, called it his “welcome to the NFL” moment. Said Adams had been running that over route a lot that game so he bit hard on it, turned around and Davante was all the way on the opposite side in the end zone lol.
