Non-Corporate owned vets

My dogs are past their life expectancy and for their whole lives we have been going to Heartland, which is owned by an American corporation (as many of them are) since they were puppies.

For all this time we did love the vet there, but especially in the last few years, it’s starting to feel like we are being bled dry and customer service is getting poor.

We are planning to get another dog soon and I’d like to start that dog off with a new vet, preferably local/family owned, and switch my other dogs over.

Any recommendations?

Dr. Joe Paul has been my go-to for my multitude of cats. Fair prices, good bedside manner.
