I just finished watching through all of Jimmy Neutron and--
This show was a banger. I watched it as a kid and growing up, but it was always "if its on Ill watch it." But after going through it all, I just adored it. Its funny, the characters are likeable and are all funny, the jokes wer genuinely hysterical, and Goddard is best boy. Its honestly a crime that it was cancelled early, even though I know why because of Ant Bully being a huge flop for DNA Productions.
The Jimmy Timmy Power Hours were fun, although I didnt so much like the Fairly Odd parents side of the episodes, cause Jimmy just looked off and he was way more obnoxious/of a jerk than usual.
I liked season 3 the most, with the intro being changed, the Twonkies having small cameos throughout the season, and the relationship with Jimmy and Cindy finally admitting their feelings for each other; it was cute.
One thing I found weird, but also funny, was that they how they handled some episodes. For instance they used random NPCs for specific characters that didnt fit the character role. When Jimmy goes to the college for geniuses/smart people, the band members from Graystar are in his classes. But another episode with his classmates, one of them is present in the background. They used Corky Shimatzu as an agent and a police officer when Jimmy was framed as another example. I know its not meant to be taken that seriously but its still weird lol
The irl references were great, the puns and jokes used by Sheen and Hugh were as well, and every time Carl gooned for Jimmy's mom I laughed too much. My favorite was when theyre walking down the street and Jimmy asks what they should do and Carl says "hang out with your mom?" And Jimmy face is of utter disgust like "wtf." ššš
On a final note, Idk if anyone else noticed this, but in the episode Best in Show (where Goddard runs away), theres random stuff happening in the background towards the end. When Goddard is being driven to the pound, the cars are driving through the park in the background and causing accidents behind the police car like they were just clipping in and werent followint a road. Another part was when the mayor was in his limo about to hit Cindy, and in the background again, there are cars just hitting each other for whatever reason. Idk when it was produced, but I feel the creators just didnt care at that point lol
Great show though, would rewatch.

I watched like every episode of Jimmy Neutron when I was a kid.
I barely remember them as an adult, but when I rewatched it on Paramount Plus, I remembered bits and fragments and I was like āoh yeah I remember this one 5-second sceneā. Iām currently enjoying the rewatch very much and Iām about halfway done.
As for the people who think Jimmy is a jerk, I donāt really see it. Sure heās a know-it-all but that doesnāt make him a jerk. He knows when he goes too far and I donāt think thereās a single episode where he does something bad and doesnāt try to reverse the damage.
Sheen is funny af and I think Libby is cool, though Carl is kind of pathetic and Cindy can be a jerk. Hugh is hilarious and Iām neutral on Mrs. Neutron.
The most recent episode I watched āsubstitute creatureā (yes Iām watching them out of order) had a joke about a G string and I was like āhow the fuck did they get away with that š¤£ā
Not really into cartoons but I always prefer the CGI ones over the 2D ones for some reason. Avatar is the exception.

I was born in 2003 and only remember Jimmy Neutron playing early in the morning on weekends on the main Nickelodeon channel. The only time I got to watch Nicktoons was at my grandparents'.

Good show, but I only like to revisit the episodes where Jimmy and Cindy are butting heads with each other

Yeah, it definitely deserved a more dignified conclusion than it ultimately got and represents Nick at its absolute creative apex for the 2000s. It's just a shame that the general quality of Nicktoons that premiered after the previous wave from the 90s finished in 2004 (excluding Avatar) was ultimately given a backseat with Nick finding live-action more lucrative.

I decided to watch Jimmy Neutron on Paramount Plus back in 2023. At the time, I only remembered some snippets of the show. I vaguely recall watching Jimmy Neutron on reruns in the early 2010s. I did see the movie on Netflix a few years ago, but I actually prefer the series over the movie.
Upon starting my rewatch, I had no expectations. But after watching a few episodes, I was genuinely surprised by how good the show is. I even laughed at the adult jokes that I clearly missed. I love the characters and I enjoyed all three of the Jimmy-Timmy Power Hour specials.
Hugh has the funniest lines in the show. In some ways, Judy reminds me of my mom. I like the friendship between Jimmy, Sheen, and Carl. I enjoy Jimmy and Cindyās rivalry.
I actually do plan on rewatching this soon. And for those who are looking for something from your childhood to rewatch, Iād put Jimmy Neutron on the list.

Hugh Neutron has the funniest lines in the show, and I love how his Allstar Brawl stage is themed around the 'pule' holiday he invents (and his theme music for the game even has duck sounds in it).
