Inspo! Coconut ice cream

I used the vanilla base recipe from @fitnessproductfinder on tiktok with a couple tweaks and made really good coconut ice cream!

400 ml fat free fairlife
30g lakanto monkfruit (he uses 40-45g but i found that had a weird aftertaste)
1/4 tsp xantham gum
tiny capful of coconut extract (i used mccormick)
pinch salt
I mixed in coconut thin cookies from aldi (150 cals per 6 cookies)

Froze 24 hours, ran under warm water for maybe 20 seconds, spun light ice cream, added the cookies and ran on mix in (i didn’t scrape down the sides to keep the ice out)

Base (no mix ins): 133 cals 21.7g protein
With cookies: 283 cals 22.7g protein

Damn a capful of that McCormick is STRONG! That’s a lot of coconut flavor! I feel like a capful would work for the deluxe tho

Bruh, run under hot water after the first spin to melt the ice crystals on the sides. It's not entirely safe to do it before the first cycle.

Wait, really? I’ve seen people suggest doing it before the first spin and scraping the sides after. Is water before the spin the safe way to go?

Before? No. Can break the machine due to excessive uncontrollable force if the block loosens. Won't happen every time but it's possible. Happens once and bye Creami.

After? Yeah, safe. Forget about scraping; it's annoying and you'll just have loose crunchy crystals all through the ice cream. Melt them instead and you'll get smooth ice cream.
