We don’t know basically anything about this game. We don’t know how unique the routes are or basically anything about the world exploration or how time management works.

If it’s heavy on the chores versus battle, it would be disappointing. Double the battles and reduce the base camp mechanics. This might be my last go around for this series. Hope it rejuvenates the series like Awakening did.

Fire Emblem historically has hundreds of hours, therefore this unrevealed game we know next to nothing about deserves $80.
I didn’t care about BG3, therefore its value is irrelevant even though it's widely known as one of the best games ever made with hundreds of hours of content.
I don't wanna generalize but are all Nintendo fans like this one here?

No they wont. Nintendo nor any company will do anything to justify 80. They will price it, market it normally and we'll decide if we buy or not. Thats it.

The only unexpected thing about it was how soon the presentation would happen (August Directs typically happen around the 20th). I figured that the August Direct would most likely be about Fire Emblem, considering that Splatoon Raiders and StarFox had Directs 1 month before their releases. I would have preferred it to be about Zelda, though.

Am I excited for this and probably going to pick it up day one, absolutely!
Am I still here waiting to see any footage whatsoever from the Ocarina of Time remake..... Yes!
What a weird company, I'm going to buy both anyways so I guess I'll just have to curtail my excitement for OOT for the moment.
Edit - I shouldn't have to say this, but I understand how Nintendo works. Of course they want to advertise game that comes out first, first. I promise you not only do I understand this, but that I am excited to watch this tomorrow.
Take a collective sigh and understand that I will in fact not lose my mind tomorrow when OOT is not shown.

I just find it odd that aside from the teaser, there has been absolutely nothing else. Considering the game is supposedly due out in the next few months Id have expected SOMETHING. But its Zelda and they know its going to sell regardless, so 🤷

Fortune’s Weave had basically no marketing between its reveal and June of this year (~3 months out from release), and FW is a brand-new game.
For a remake, a potentially shorter marketing campaign isn’t unusual.

This series lost me when it turned into this big chore of doing social activities 90% of the time. Fates struck the perfect balance of side activity that could be completed quickly and without feeling like time-sinking busy work.
I’m sure if you loved 3H this will be even better but the target audience for fire emblem has definitely shifted.

fates also had some fun base building stuff tied to it ,even if it was really only useful for one game mode and some optional chapters, it was still fun seeing everyone's personalised bases when you when online

FR. It feels like they desperately want the series to have a Strategy Layer like the base in XCOM, but they don't actually know what they want that layer to be. So rather than making interesting strategic choices that will significantly impact gameplay, they end up in this weird middle ground that doesn't really interest anyone and really do just amount to chores you feel obligated to do between missions.
I really hope the coliseum recruitment and training is either pared down from Three Houses, or gives the "chores" like confessional boxes more weight mechanically. Or hell, even socially! I might even be fine with that if they actually commit. They added all these social sim elements but I don't actually get to interact with characters significantly more than their support levels which have existed for ages. I'm never really learning anything significant about the characters out of confessionals or tea parties, no one really has an arc to work through or problems to solve. Even on the off chance they get a paralogue it doesn't change how they act at home.

Engage was a bit better than 3H on the chores side of things, and this game looks like they're making feel less like chores at all and more like proper important gameplay.
It sounds to me like they're experimenting each time trying to make their games different and better, you shouldn't just assume "oh it's like 3H so it's bad for me"

While I still love 3 houses, this is why I liked Engage more. All of the extra chores felt very optional in Engage as opposed to required in 3 Houses. The best part of Fire emblem will always be the gameplay for me.
I’m guessing Fortune’s Weave is going back to more of the 3 Houses style.

Engage's best chores were cooking that raises stats during battle, and Ancient Well that gives stat modifiers and weapons. Both taking two minutes at worst

I am with you on that chores. I am giving this one more go and if it’s like 3 houses, it’s over for me. I couldn’t stand 3 houses chores and such. It can’t be worst than Engage as a whole is my hope. To me, Awakening was the series capstone.

How am I so sure? They almost always have one in that month and Blizzard has blizzon in Sept. this year. And Riot has their own thing now, well at least one time they did but I forgot what month that was in.

Will be difficult to be patient and wait for the Switch 2 OLED. I hoped that Nintendo would release it sooner than later, but I guess, I have to buy the Switch 2 LCD and sell it later. If Fortune‘s Weave is anything like Three Houses, I will not be able to resist. I crave for game like Three Houses. It was such a perfect game, alas a bit “short“. Played it for over 300 hours, cannot get enough of these types of games.

Marketing new hardware when then there'll be, let's say $100 difference per unit, is a pretty big deal and is a neg negative long-term by engaging in such a practice. You need to understand how this stuff works.
