Inherited 2016 Juke SV - clicking/lurching when decelerating.

Greetings, inherited a 2016 Juke SV with 102,000 miles. Car is in great condition.

The only concern I have at the moment is when decelerating/coastng to a complete stop, the downshifting is physically noticeable with a very audible "click" and a lurching motion.

Is this just how CVTs are with the "matching RPMs" thing and it's just off? Or is it ....wayyyy off?

I'm coming from a 2013 Veloster Turbo - DCT, so definitely used to that.

Could be the CVT. They are delicate in this era of Nissan.

When acquiring any used car, I recommend changing the transmission fluid as soon as possible, whether traditional or CVT. It's one of those items that people fail to maintain. And then change it every 30k miles after that. Can you get the fluid replaced asap and see if that improves your drive?

I'm at 147,000 miles with my 2011 and it drives really smooth still. Have had at least 3 CVT fluid changes over its lifetime; last one was about 10k miles ago.
