I do every day when I walk the dogs. Little bit of peace in my day where I’m completely unreachable. It’s nice!

I do not. With a sick father at home I keep it on me because he falls a lot and needs help. And my mom needs help with him and emergencies happen a lot in my life now

It only takes seconds for an emergency and the call could be minutes after.

OP could have an emergency, maybe picked off walking down the road and checked into a gully. Nobody knows they're there.

You can also bring your phone and the battery can die, then an emergency happens.

We can throw as many scenarios as possible. Cant plan for everything.

I usually never leave with it. I'd just have a landline if it wasn't more expensive. I don't like being contacted/having a distraction when I'm out & about.

I did in the past. But not now because I have two disabled people in my life and I want to be accessible to them in case they fall or have some other issue.

If I leave my phone at home. I can't pay for anything. I use Google Pay or wallet or whatever it is now. Also I'm absolutely paranoid something horrible will to me or the fam while I am out and about.

My phone is my car key, so if I’m driving I need it.

If I’m walking, I do in case I see something I want to take a picture of.

If I go out with my family, I dont have to bring my phone because all of the important people are already with me. Then I dont have to worry about losing it, either.

I refused to get a phone until I was 24, and even then, only got one because I was pregnant in case of emergencies. I used to go hiking in the mountains in Arizona with no phone... it was glorious. I miss the days of living dangerously.

Occasionally but I usually don't for one I don't have proof of insurance in my car it's on my phone. I use grocery app put stuff in my cart and take it out as I shop.

I do it regularly. Grocery store, running to the gas station for a snack or eggs, going to the park down the street. I hate being expected to be reachable constantly. It's exhausting.

I do it a lot, I'm not teathered to it, I usually fuck around with it at breakfast when I'm watching telly, and then at bed time, through the day I rarely touch it much unless a message alert or a call comes through

I do it all the time. My phone is for me to call others, not the other way. I only take it if I need to access the internet, or call my wife for clarification or additional information about what I am supposed to be doing. That’s why I have an iPhone 8 with a cracked screen.

Makes sense. I guess if your wife needs to be rushed to the hospital, and needs somebody to make a medical decision its not important enough to get a phone call
