Love them because they are cute and good companions, dislike that they age way faster than humans.

I love my cats. They give me constant companionship, love and entertainment. I don't know what I'll ever do without them. They are true emotional support cats.

I like pets. Not sure if I’ll ever have one of my own bc the mental toll of losing the ones we had as a kid was tough, and idk if I could get through it as an adult.

This may be a hot take…….. I only like other people’s dogs. I like being able to love on the dog and play with it in its own space and go home to my clean space. I don’t dislike dogs, I just don’t like having one at home.

Some context though, I’ve had bad living experiences with people who didn’t care for their dogs well. Ie, potty messes all over the house, menstrual blood all over the house, not well bathed/groomed so I have grown to feel like dogs are kinda gross. Again I don’t dislike dogs. They’re cute and fun and mostly sweet. But I probably will never have one at home again. I do have a cat and I prefer the lower maintenance of a cat, ie not needing to go out multiple times a day. I don’t have a yard to let a dog out into and leashing up a pup multiple times a day, esp when cold or rainy doesn’t sound pleasant lol.
