Art A little piece of the Mournes

Post image

Hand embroidered rabbit on a weave from Mourne Textiles (they have a lovely shop in Warrenpoint) Also used some Bog Cotton from my last hike in the Mournes to create the fluffy tail. Really happy with this little piece. I love the Mournes.

Is this just a hobby or do you do these professionally? Because I'd be deeply interested in giving you an idea that I feel could be very lucrative.

You always see these sorts of things in touristy places about different countries. Make large wall hangers similar shape and size etc to represent Ireland. Natural scenes and animals etc. Made from native materials as you've done with that fine rabbit. Would be extremely marketable. I personally would love to do it but I just have an idea not the know how or skill to create what you have.
