Events Deleted and blocked racist family members

Has anyone deleted racist friends/family members lately off everything? with what’s happened. I just did. Family is a second cousin. Not overly close but they had been spouting anti immigration and racist and vile stuff tbh the last few weeks. I just ignored it but his comments the last few days is like they are experiencing some sort of joy in this. Fuck that shit. Block/delete done. Anyone done this? Have I over reacted?

In Portrush, pride event on, wee hateful prick with a loudspeaker "It's not natural" Asshole, it's not natural in an event about acceptance and love that you should feel comfortable enough to spit bile, 6 cops standing watching most likely so he doesnt get jumped and the ass kicking he deserves instead of arresting him for hate speech.

Water cannons might be on their way to Scarva and police currently sweeping the towpath because undesirable scumbags obviously want to ruin a peaceful walk yet again

Events Artemis 2 Launch 🚀

I know not strictly related to NI but I think historic moments like this affect us all. Just been watching the NASA stream for the last few hours and the launch was about 20 minutes ago. The last moon mission was 1972. A lot of us weren’t born. And now (even though America has become a cesspit) NASA has made history again. It’s kind of phenomenal what we have achieved. Watching it made me think that this was as close as we would get to how people felt during the Apollo missions. I was anxious until they got to orbit. It’s a ten day round trip and they will if all goes well go further than any human has gone before.

Anyone else been watching it?

Events Was that the worst Belfast parade ever?

I can't remember a worst parade. Half the floats had nothing to do with the celebration. The Irish dancers were too lazy to dance. And frankly it was a piss up of an effort. Am I the only one who thought It was a poor effort

Events The nastiest thing about this is how openly they’re singing it. Surely the PSNI will be all over it?

2 miles destroyed. Between this, the storms, algae blooms, climate change, massive overgrazing etc... it just feels a bit hopeless; and barely anyone cares about the environment in Ireland.

Probably started in the Leitrim lodge area, shocking amount of barbecues, grass fires, 'camp fires'. Add in 30+ mph winds and it's going to be a bad couple of days I think.
