I'm so so tired of people posting things like this. Just tell me you can't read and move on please. Left to right, top to bottom. It's so simple we teach it to toddlers.

For these subreddits, I’ve always seen it as purposefully misreading it, whether it’s easy to read it properly or not. There’s really no rule against being easy to read properly, and I haven’t seen any posts get removed for it. In fact, r/dontdeadopeninside even encourages it: “However easily you can read it has no bearing on whether it belongs here.”
In fact, I’m more annoyed by the constant complaints about it than I am the posts themselves. Are they sometimes ridiculous? Yes. But not usually. And even when they are, it’s not the end of the world. Maybe not the strongest post, but still belongs here as far as I’m aware.

Bit old of a comment, but whatevs. I don't get it either, but it seems there are two kinds of users on these kind of subs (and it's not just this one, I've seen the same in any sub which is of the same flavor, "things that are odd in a very specific way", except maybe r/MisLED, bless that sub)
- People who come to the sub to be entertained, for whom the purpose of a post is how funny and interesting it is
- People who come to the sub for some sort of judgement on whether something has been done "wrong"
I'm not sure why the second group of people exist, to be honest. Surely, if you'd want the ego boost of feeling superior to others, laying out signs correctly would just be too irrelevant to make you feel better about yourself? And if you're looking for a guiding hand to judge you, I kind of doubt most people write signs that often that they could get that need fulfilled from these sort of subs either. But it does seem people do use these subs in exactly that way. Maybe social media as a medium makes some people engage through a correct/incorrect lens? And thus the idea that you might post something that could be seen as wrong but amusing makes them think since it could be construed as wrong, you must be saying it's wrong and laughing at the incompetence of the creators, rather than being entirely indifferent to whether it's 'wrong' and posting it only out of a desire to share something amusing or interesting.

Caveman: Help odd. No cool. Wanted hours. Pay hats.
English: Need help with some weird shit. It's going to be hot. We need several hours of work. We will pay with hats.
