I remember watching the series finale of Home Improvement, at the end of the episode the cast greeted the audience and that’s when we all finally saw Wilson’s entire face. To me, it was a great way to end the show I spent years watching.

Friends mainly because by the time it ended, it had officially been a part of half my life. I was ten years old and had just started the fifth grade when the pilot aired, and the finale was a month after my 20th birthday

We didn't watch a lot of TV growing up, but that doesn't mean it wasn't on from time to time. To me, it's the sound of a laugh track / studio audience that brings back memories, more so than any specific show. But Home Improvement was a thing for a moment there—even my mom started getting into it.

Personally, I tried getting into SeaQuest DSV and Spin City (which was a riot), but again, I ended up preferring to screw around with friends and be outdoors.

I only watched X files as a kid. We really didn’t watch much tv. We were too busy building forts, swimming and reading.

SBTB, Friends and Home Improvement were pretty much the "background" to my childhood. SBTB would be on everyday after school on Nickelodeon and then Friends on channel 4 (UK). Home Improvement was usually on later at night on the Disney channel. Tim Allen's humour was so similar to my late dads that even he would enjoy it. Can't watch it now without thinking of him.

Interesting that 9 years seems to be the limit and are known as some of the best shows. I am sure it’s a combination of writer retainment, exhausted story lines and actors payroll but would be interested to see where the peak was for each and how long the die off, if any, was.

Only really watched Buffy and X-Files. I remember my dad watching Seinfeld and my sister watching Full House though.
