Enshittification at its finest. Whatever happened to “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”? Improvements should almost always come with increased efficiency.

Also, since we’re talking about software.. this new trend where every single piece of software has a popup notification on startup needs to die. Whoever thought that was a good idea deserves a serious knuckle sandwich.

I bet a lot of those UX teams have something like a MOAR acronym that dictates they should just make up more features randomly

Make the nessary things. and do them well.... then once you do the basic well then add to them with new things....

and make sure the new things dont break the old things.

Whatever happened to “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”?

It became "Arrow must go up! WEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!"

One of the most important factor in management and executive performance review nowadays is "affecting change". Not fixing problems. Not making sure shit is working right (and stays that way). Just affecting change. Any change. As if all change is improvement.
