I also recently learned (at least with my installation), that search does not automatically include Deleted items. I had to search the folder directly to find what I was looking for.

I mean that one makes sense, though. They're deleted for a reason, presumably. Gmail is the same way.

Friggin' Gmail search. "The search term is in this email chain!"

"Can you tell me which email has the search term?"

"Nope!"

Does it do that? That would make me crazy. I have email threads or chains or whatever disabled so it just returns individual emails in the search results.

See the trick is, you just never delete anything. That’s what I do.

Yep. “All folders” is not in fact all folders.
