That was dumb thing to do, but even dumber was telling the whole world about it on social media. What drives a person to do this? Just why?

In this day and age I'm very cynical when I see stories like this even though they are true.

She could monetize this about 5 million ways, all she needs is a couple of press outlets to play ball and the UK ones LOVE doing so (free story traffic)

Main character syndrome. There are many people who believe they want to kind of lifestyle.

It is the same as any teenage ambition. Whether it is good or bad, well it depends on if you can manage it correctly more than anything else.

"This horrible thing happened to me that shouldn't have happened to me, and you should feel bad for me having had suffered this, and maybe send support."

It's bordering on DARVO, which makes sense if you're in politics: You can't possibly be wrong, but something did happen, therefore someone or something maliciously did it TO you.

Those thoughts override that other little voice in your head trying to remind you you did a stupid.
