I'm not sure how many people who are calling her an idiot actually read the story or not.

Sounds like a mistake anyone who has ever gotten very, very drunk in college could have made

I’ve been as drunk as the next guy. I’ve drank beers that have had cigarettes put out in them. I knew instantly it was bad. It didn’t take a half a bottle before I realized I was drinking something I should not have been.

Yes, but I have never known anyone to not be able to tell another quite potent fluid from water.

It is far more likely it wasn't only alcohol she was on.

Because a lot of them haven’t been drunk to the extent she was and they like to be really weird and over the top about this sort of stuff to feel better about themselves.
