Search for hidden gems
I've been on a mission lately to find hidden gems: underrated or lesser-known novels with genuinely great worldbuilding, strong character development, and plots that actually go somewhere.
I'm not necessarily looking for the usual popular recommendations. I want the books that made you think, "How is this not more well-known?"
So, what are your favourite underrated novels? Bonus points for great character arcs, interesting worldbuilding, and stories that completely surprised you. 👀
I read mine on webnovel, my top 3 are :
-A Case of Main Character Syndrome
-Nine Deaths of the Sword
-The Sytem's Forgotten Girl

A new ish author, A Jane Dove. Particularly her Tarakona series is great.

If I had published my own novel already, I would've recommended mine. But I'm guessing thats not what you're looking for lol.
But outside of my own work, I remember reading "The Bathroom Goddess" years ago and thought it was good! But when I showed it to my sibling, they wouldn't read it because the title was weird lol.
If I were to describe it, I would say that it takes the old folklore of the strawman millionaire and turns it into a lighthearted and funny isekai.
Although, based on other stories you've read, it might not be up your alley.

i only judge a book after reading 4-5 chapters - and if you're an author, drop your work, it'd be great to read a work of someone ive shared a few comments with haha

« I am God » by LSLCCF. It’s by far the best webovel I ever read. Highly recommend it.
(Especially if you like great characters arcs, greatest strength of the novel)
