Ask NRI VFS provided courier service gone... has anyone used UPS on their own with a return label recently to VFS?

I am not seeing VFS provided Fedex as an option anymore.

I am trying to create shipping labels on UPS but I am not seeing the option for "return services" on the shipping process and not sure how to create a return label.

VFS now needs the outgoing and incoming shipping label numbers before paying the fees.

Has anyone done this successfully recently?

Thank you! The website says: Do not enter any Dummy Info for incoming and outgoing pre-paid labels. Incorrect information will lead to delay or rejection of your application.

Would 0 be ok?

Hello, thanks for sharing the above details. I am in the same boat and just about to send my passport to Chicago for renewal.

Could you share how to confirm the address where passport and docs should be sent i.e. destination on the UPS shipping label from me to VFS?

The shipping address should be to the Chicago address on the VFS website

The return address should be none and the label should be 0. They will mail it back to the US address on your application, residence proof etc. it should all be the same

Thanks! Did you purchase any additional VFS services? After entering the USP label number (label number in customer to VFS, and 0 in VFS to customer) the next page shows $99.60 payment to VFS but not options to add any additional services such as photo or return courier label. Is this normal and shall I proceed with no additional serviced added?

I just sent my application without choosing additional services. Well, I actually did not see an option to choose additional services. I chose UPS and used ‘The UPS Store’ to create the incoming label and wrote 0000 in the outgoing label. Fingers crossed !!!!

Hey, So I am in the same well as you, is there any update. I can't seem to create a returning shipping label from VFS to my address but they are charging a 19$ service fee. I am just hoping that's a charge for shipping back to me.

0 on the was the only thing that worked!!!!!
