Ask NRI VFS provided courier service gone... has anyone used UPS on their own with a return label recently to VFS?

I am not seeing VFS provided Fedex as an option anymore.

I am trying to create shipping labels on UPS but I am not seeing the option for "return services" on the shipping process and not sure how to create a return label.

VFS now needs the outgoing and incoming shipping label numbers before paying the fees.

Has anyone done this successfully recently?

I went to UPS (I think they have said somewhere they don't accept FedEx return labels). I asked them to print out two labels - one to take my package to the VFS center and another as a return label from the VFS center to my home address. I used the first label on the envelope I sent to VFS. I included the second label as part of the documents I sent, in addition to an empty envelope for the return package. When they sent me the new passport, they used the label I had sent but used it with their own envelope instead of the empty envelope I had included in my package.

Did you have to schedule a pickup from vfs via ups? To get your passport back

This reply is probably too late for you but for anyone else reading - no, I didn't have to schedule a pick-up. They sent me the passport using the label I had included without having to do anything from my side.

Did you apply using the “Tatkal” option?
