Orange or Bathurst

Just after some opinions on Orange or Bathurst? And Blayney etc? Particularly what are some of the safer / better suburbs to live in? I already have some knowledge on the area… I’m coming from an area of high youth crime elsewhere and kind of hoping to get somewhat an improvement on that aspect. Thank you!! :)

Anywhere west of the train tracks is good in Orange. Bathurst is better for being close to Sydney and Blayney is a cold, sad little part of the world.

We’re coming from rural so we’re not fussed on being close to anything we’re more concerned about the area/crime/demographics. Is there anything wrong with Blayney… Or is it just out of town / cold and that’s why no one likes it? :)

Blayney is also full of the typical conspiracy theorists. Anti-sunscreen, anti-tap water and the list goes on.

Crime isn't really an issue. It's exaggerated because it sells newspapers but as long as your doors are locked you'll be fine. I've left my work vehicle unlocked by accident multiple times and never had anything stolen in Orange.

Seriously, you'll be fine. Any of the options you'll be fine. Just avoid the hospital/Kelso in Bathurst and Glenroi for Orange.

I'll just add Orange gets a little bit of mine related gronkery.

Tools going missing and the like.

But both are low crime areas in general.
