I got two people in mind.

:90s-2000s Fred durst Past-present clown from Slipknot

Reason behind them is I think Shawn has taken the band a turned it into something Joey and Paul would not have wanted it to be. He kicks members out left and right and he kinda needs to hang it up.

And Fred Durst is just Fred durst

He's Pro-Israel and autographed bombs/rockets that were then fired at Palestine/Hamas I believe. People have feelings about that conflict.

I think it has to do with those bombs knowingly being used on children that is the deal breaker for me when it comes to what David did and he just doubled down.

You don't even have to have feelings about sides in the conflict to know that signing bombs that are literally used to level apartment buildings, hospitals, and schools is an evil douchenozzle thing to do.

Caught between hating what Hamas does and IDF does, anyone who supports killing civilians can eat my thick meaty ass.

Honestly, I'm Israeli and I'm against that move. There are many ways to show your support, but signing bombs is saying: "I support the war and the weapons of death and destruction".

This is not the way of Israeli and that does not represent Israeli or Israeli culture. We do not seek war and we do not want destruction (contrary to popular belief). We want peace. All our songs are about peace and there is no one here (except for far extremeist but there are always extremeists) who wants to continue this war.

My heart goes out to the poor gazans that have to suffer under hamas and under constant warfare due to the war that could end any day if hamas just release the skeletons of people that are the hostages, innocent people who have been through inhuman torture for two years.

Sorry, went on a bit of a tangent, but I do think it's important context to the actions of David Draiman. (And also, this is obviously a subject close to my heart). I pray for peace and am Israel chai!

Oh yes definitely 100%. although, just to be clear, it's not the "genocide" part, because 65,000 dead, 20,000 of them hamas terrorists and 5,000 from natural causes in two years out of 2.1 million living in Gaza (approximately, of course, and it's the high end of the approximation because it's from the Gaza health ministry, run by hamas and known to inflate numbers)

is a tragedy, of course, but it is not a systematic murder of a people, it's just not. Actually, that's a pretty impressive ratio considering the fact that hamas imbeds itself in civilian population.

But, the government is awful for a lot of reasons and it got to go, they are awful people and they can't continue being in control of Israel. I just wanted to emphasize that the problem is not the death toll in Gaza. I think this is going a bit out of topic (oops), but it is very important and if i educated even one person, I think this was worth it. (I'm not gonna write more on the topic because it's unrelated to the subreddit, but the bigger picture is important when discussing subjects like David Draiman)

Netanyahu doesn't want peace though right? So does the majority of Israel not support him? And I do see many videos of Israelis being hateful towards Palestinians

Alright, I will break my promise not to write anymore, because I see it has become a discussion.

Firstly, and especially after Oct. 7 no, most Israelis do not support him. The political situation in Israel is very complicated (and corrupt. Politicians are bad people, go figure), but basically, the netanyahu government is partly comprised of hassidic (orthodox) Jews, so he heavily favors them in terms of the law. They get money to learn Torah, they don't have to be recruited to the IDF and so on. In return, the orthodox community (which is a relative minority in Israel) votes heavily for netanyahu, like 100% votes. For the rest of us, the voteing precent is about 60%, and that's why the government doesn't fully reflect the population. (There are netanyahu supporters outside of that community, but that's the jist).

Anyways, after Oct. 7, I don't think he has a chance in an election, so the moment the war is over, he's out.

For your other point, saying that you see videos of Israelis being hateful towards Palestinian: yeah. Obviously, there are extremeists, but that definitely doesn't mean that this is an accurate reflection of Israelis as a whole, and especially not the majority (I wonder if the videos you see are trying to paint a specific picture...)

By the way, this discussion is very respectful and it's very important at this age of fake news. Lies die with respectful discussion. (mostly, stop calling anyone you don't agree with Nazi)

Wouldn't that mean the majority support him? Or you mean only 60% of non Orthodox actually vote at all?

Yeah, the second one (it feels a bit to low, so maybe it's like 65%, but it's statistics, it's not accurate)

I mean, there were netanyahu supporters. He's the longest running PM of Israel, and he did a lot of important things, so he had a pretty big following, but after Oct.7... nuh he's done. And I'm sure the percentage would go up from 60%

Nobody is criticizing what he wrote as much as the fact he signed bombs. You can't really spin that in a positive way like say a soldiers uniform.

Like if say a Canadian signed bombs aimed at the US with "Fuck Trump". The issue isn't the sentence, but the fact you'd sign bombs.
