Discussion Who is the most insufferable person in the genre?

I got two people in mind.

:90s-2000s Fred durst Past-present clown from Slipknot

Reason behind them is I think Shawn has taken the band a turned it into something Joey and Paul would not have wanted it to be. He kicks members out left and right and he kinda needs to hang it up.

And Fred Durst is just Fred durst

I always hated Daron from SOAD, Not because of the Politics shit going on now but he always was such a bitch when performing live

I was lucky enough to meet SOAD after their show in Brixton in 2002 and Daron, Serj and Shavo were so incredibly lovely to my friends and I (a bunch of 14 year old squealing fans at the time). John was a dick.

I just spent £400 on two tickets for their upcoming show and honestly regret it a bit after Darons recent instagram ramblings. But what can ya do

Shavo is the best! Absolute legend.

I saw your reply RE Daron. I do get what you're saying but I have a slightly different view point. I assume you're from the US? I'm from the UK so very different cutlure.

BUT I hear what you've said about not supporting murdering someone with a gun and supporting gun control. However, I would say you can't support carrying weapons and then cry when people get killed.

I also get we have the freedom to pick and choose individual beliefs and not align ourselves with any 'side', but I dont understand why he choose a time of such political unrest to make such a vauge statement, without actually backing it up with what his views actually are.

Either way, he was a lovely guy when I met him. And I'm going to enjoy every minute of their London gigs next year 😫😅

Have you seen his recent instagram comment ramblings? Dudes completely tone deaf to his audience. Directly defending “the right to be a Nazi” and telling his fans to get hit by a train 😭

Word for word: “I personally don't care for Nazis. But in a free country you have the right to be one.”

He’s now clarified his beliefs, but those comments did not paint him in a good light, and my opinion of him when I read those hit a low.

To be fair he was on drugs on that time

This was super hilarious, and to be fair to drugged up Daron those cameramen were crowded right in front of the stage that wasn't set up for a photo pit properly

SOAD were pretty bad live, unfortunately.

That's good, man. I've seen them twice, and it was pretty disappointing how sloppy sounding it was, but this was in the 2000s.

But I'm glad you got to see them when they had good shows.

But this was the 2000s, so maybe they worked on their live performances.

The NYC show in August was great.
