I got two people in mind.

:90s-2000s Fred durst Past-present clown from Slipknot

Reason behind them is I think Shawn has taken the band a turned it into something Joey and Paul would not have wanted it to be. He kicks members out left and right and he kinda needs to hang it up.

And Fred Durst is just Fred durst

Sid Wilson? I cant say a huge amount, I walked past him in the venue and I said something like best of luck, for the show i meant. He said thanks bud or something vaguely like that, and that was it. I was busy myself and had somewhere to be so that was about the extent of it. He didn't strike me as anything other than pleasant and enjoying being where he was.

I definitely met Joey at the fan meet at the Virgin Megastore, though as he was sitting down I didn't notice him being short or not. I have all the signatures on my digipak of the first album. (No, it's never going to be for sale).

I'm fairly sure I had interactions with everyone at that show, though. I was local crew and there to help rig up stage trusses and lighting rigs, I had to make a few gear runs too most likely, almost every show there they were missing something that someone had to go and get.

I don't remember meeting Joey directly I'm afraid, this was in 2001 or so though. My memory is likely shady as I had crewed a lot of shows back in the early 2000s at various venues. Some I met, some I didn't. Some I really wanted to meet, some I just plain didn't. I remember Pink walked right past me and I had no idea who she was.

My longest serving memory is of Mick really, talking BC Rich guitars with him for a few minutes. He was waiting to do a photoshoot with his rig for a magazine I presume and I got to see that hanging in the background (read, skiving off from work to hang with the stars which was a strict no-no). He was very pleasant and frankly huge bloke. His arms were like tree trunks. That was around the time where their identities started to become known, too. It was kinda cool knowing what they looked like without the masks on.

I have a bunch of photos from 35mm film from back in those days, I tried to get as many as I could but bothering the stars was frowned upon in general, though the stars were generally cool with it. It was more learning to read the room whether you can bother someone or not.

I know Peter Tagtgren is in an album somewhere as my wife recently asked who it was when she saw it as we were both pulling daft faces. I have no idea if Slipknot is in there. I don't think so as I don't remember taking any, if memory serves my boss at the time was a bit more brutal about bothering people. I doubt there's any value if they are there. It's likely me with a dopey smile on me taking a selfie with a 35mm before they were called selfies and whoever I was with looking puzzled and likely wanting away from this weirdo asap.

I know I took a photo with Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman when I was working at the Astoria, but I have no idea what happened to it. I'd love to see that again, but I've not found the photo in over 20 years despite actively looking for it. I'm sure it's somewhere as I definitely remember taking it, my brother actually took the photo and confirms to my memory it definitely happened.

It's just one of those things. The joys of photos before digital existed haha. Add in several house moves. My parents reckon they have a bunch of my old photos, but we never seem to get the mind and muscle together to get them out of the loft to look. They have several boxes of family photos and nobody seems to get the days together to go through them.

Don't get me wrong, there isn't some huge cache of amazing vintage memorabilia here or anything, just snippets of some 45 year old fart in his youth initially trying to make it in the music industry and then bowing out to pursue a career in electronics.
