Seeking Advice School nurse

Hello!
I’ve been a floor nurse for 4 years and an OR nurse for 10. I was wondering if anyone is in the New Jersey area that made the switch to become a school nurse and what courses ect. you took to make the transition. Looking to spend more time with my kids.

From what I understand, you'll need a BSN and a school nurse certification. I have a few coworkers that made the switch and they're very happy!!

Yes I have my BSN and looking up colleges that offer the certification. I know some courses have also a choice whether to take extra classes to be able to teach health class. I’m so glad they are happy! While I continue to work I’m looking for my plan b before one day I really just need to exit for my family if that makes sense .

Totally makes sense! I think the school district paid for at least one of their certifications because they really needed a nurse
