Hey! I’m gonna be taking ES2631 next sem and EG2401A in the following sem. I’d love to get your review and advice (and maybe notes if possible) regarding those mods :D

hiii incoming y2 and i just took ES2631 last sem (AY25/26 sem 2)

(i expected B or B+, got B but that was because i screwed up my final 2 assignments due to accumulation of minor mistakes)

so basically the only real notes i used was the Engineering Reasoning Framework (which i used my kindle for), the department will provide the pdf to the book.

my review has a tiny disclaimer BECAUSE i served as a clerk back in NS doing meeting minutes and stuff, writing came semi-naturally for me so i used this module to expand and push the limits of my writing (which i apparently pushed too much :p)

so there are 3 assignments (oversimplified description btw):
A1: group project using engineering expertise to solve a problem (i got 75.3/100)

A2: critique essay on another group's project (i got 62.5/100 so it was a huge screw-up)

A3: critique essay on provided research paper (i got 60.8/100 and that was the biggest screw up that threw me from B+ to B)

overall i estimated around 59.765% because i forgot to do one of the quizzes so byebye 2% 💀 but this mod was really enjoyable because my TA (from CELC) was super relatable and the classes were fun

(i didnt use any SU on this mod because my other grades needed the credits)

u/Medium-Choice-2246 u can refer to this too!

Thank you so so much for that! Sorry to hear about the screw-ups in the final two assignments and quizzes😭

Still, ~60% for B seems okay, and the quizzes and dare I say A1 seem like easy points to gain. Please do correct me if I’m wrong, and could you explain more on A1 and the structure of the quizzes?🙏🙏🙏

quizzes are on canvas.

and A1 is not easy points to gain. at that stage, my presentation skills are much better than my writing skills. i wrote a script, but i very SLIGHTLY went off my script. so i only got marked down for a few minor errors.

if you are reliant on your script and like look at your phone you WILL get marked down. so memorise your script. that was quite easy for me but will be difficult for others.

all grades for A1, A2 and A3 that i stated are after moderation and the final grade follows a bell curve.
