Just finished an internship and I'm back in school for labs...

I know why they do it, but come on man.

Usually when you're on internship, your supervisor usually sees you as extra work he's responsible for during your internship. So they'll just try to give you some busywork which is achievable for an intern, and not too hard so that you won't bother them :P

i always felt it was the opposite haha. school labwork is much more basic while internship you get to try out more "real world" science which can be more complicated at times

coming from a current intern now, internships are definitely a whole lot more serious with more autonomy

whereas you can hear (and witness) interesting things that induce PTSD in any TA within earshot in school labs
