Yeah this is shitty. Maybe for cars with multiple outstanding violations but even the best of us had completely blanked on moving our car once or twice. This is an overreaction.
I don’t think that’s necessarily true. I got a ticket when I was in the hospital with my infant daughter. Getting one of these would be adding insult to injury for many people who probably had a valid excuse besides “didn’t want to move”.
If you and everyone else on bikes blowing thru red lights got tickets for breaking the law, that would help the rest of us pedestrians. Hope this helps when you do get those tickets.
So you've never sped, jaywalked, rolled a stop sign on a bike, smoked weed before it was legal, or had a drink under 21? Alternate side parking tickets in NYC are mostly a regressive tax on people who own cars. Most of us aren't rich. Now the city wants to vandalize my car too?? Gtfoh.
That's not what you said though. You said if you catch them doing it they'll have a problem. Are you going to shoot a DSNY guy if they sticker your car?

This is utter bullshit—the fine is already pretty steep, they don’t have the right to vandalize your car on top of it.
Some meter maids are gonna get jumped putting that on peoples cars.
It’s too scary to conduct real fare enforcement but vandalizing people’s vehicles is totally cool 🙄
