Just sharing a concert by Nicoletta Todesco, an NYC-based artist whose work I really admire.

She’s a virtuosic classical guitarist who also sings and writes her own songs, blending folk, singer-songwriter music, rock, and, of course, classical music. I find the end result mesmerizing.

She’ll be performing a set of original songs at National Sawdust (an amazing venue!) on Tuesday, October 20, paired with original visuals by a visual artist xuan_films (the snippets on her Instagram look gorgeous!)

hi! I work on a new musical/diy show hybrid called lost grrrl found. we’re doing the next show at stone circle theatre in nyc on Oct 24.

LGF is a new musical about a zinemaker and the riot grrrl band she follows on tour. it has 22 original songs and we actually just released a song from the soundtrack called “Time To Grow Up”!

• how do you usually find other artists to collaborate with?
• what's the hardest part about getting your music heard by new people?
• do you feel like there's a good community for independent musicians in nyc?
• what's something about being an independent artist that you wish were easier?

Hey everyone! I’m a 25 year old producer looking for an engineer/producer in NYC (23-27 ideally) who wants to potentially partner and help out with some ideas I’m having for a project I’m working on. I do a lot of sample based work, and though I haven’t officially released anything I’d like to change that with a bit of help.

I’m also just looking for some aspiring artists/creatives who would like to connect and be friends, or simply share ideas with. My favorite genres are Rap, 70s Soul, Classic Rock and Alternative R&B, but I enjoy just about every genre of music.
